Was this supposed to be a secret? I wonder because I talked to him at the seven on seven passing league Monday night and he was talking like he was uncommitted. However I did pass along my biased but truthful opinion that Coach Chavis puts alot LB's in the league. If he did commit I should get an assist.

According to an article in the Columbia Daily Herald, Smith committed to Ole Miss!

Columbia has been known for having players who could play on the next level and Smith is no exception. Coach O of Ole Miss is an aggressive recruiter and is recruiting the state very hard. If Smith has comitted to Ole Miss...Good luck and have a good sr yr.

Yes, Smith has committed to Ole Miss, and I don't know what happened with his UT offer, but he supposedly had a written offer from Tennessee in his possession...but maybe UT filled it and voided it.

 

He's a good player for Columbia Central, all-state coaches pick last year. Good athlete, could also play tight end or fullback too.
