Region 7-3A Preview

Recommended Posts

For the record, Jarvis Perry is #32 and I know you're not Jarvis. Jarvis isn't the type of guy that would run his mouth in a forum, he does it in the fuield.

Methinks this is probably being posted by someone who has been ragging on Crockett COunty all through the forums posting under a different name.

Anybody else think so?

Wonder why someone would do that???.....

For the record,no I don't think it's Jarvis Perry...He's a senior..He's got better sense than that... :thumb:

Wouldn't be surprised if it came from another regional opponent that would like to see CC lose. We already know the response will be "We don't care about this game", but you sure spend a lot of time on the CC forums trying to run us in the ground. (ex. Starting a thread about the dogs growling (Milan) at CC) Why would another team start this topic unless it was to start something and sit back and watch. Which is what happened on this thread. Not a CC poster, even though Obion supposrters might think it is.

Haywood has got to be furious over last Friday nite, i think they take it out on an improved Choctaw team 27-17.

Dyersburg dropped 56 points last week and reportedly has a killer o-line. Ripley dissappointed me when i saw them in the Huntingdon jamboree. Coach MacAdams must not have gotten his due. Dburg 41, Ripley 14.

And finally, the hometown pick. I watched Logan Parker eat West Carroll's lunch in preseason at Huntingdon. There's also a Hayslip guy who looked like a load at linebacker. If OCC hadn't had about four turnovers last year, we'd have only beaten them by 7-10 points. That's a tough offense to defend. But Crockett has too much speed for the Rebs and wins 35-14 behind several big plays from the Johnson BROTHERS!

Actually, the linebacker you are referring to is Savion Hayslett. And he is an outstanding linebacker. Congrats to Crockett. Y'all have an outstanding team.

    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
    • Gunner Warren was the second starter, freshman. SP #1 arm impressed me last night.
