SoCal42
Everyone... Today is a sad day. As we all know 5 years ago we had the attacks on New York and America. We lost close to 3,000 people that day including 343 FDNY and 60+ Police Officers. I know some of you may not want to talk about it or even think about it but if you could do one thing today please, spend time with your families. Huge your kids, husbands or wifes and let them know you love them and your brothers/sisters and parents. Remember, 9/11/01 was just an ordinary day when those 3,000 people went to work but were unable to say "I love you" to their love ones because they more than likely took it for granted like we ALL do sometimes. We all agree to disagree about our schools and we name call and say this and that about each other but we are ALL AMERICANS and we should and WE WILL NEVER FORGET. I dont care if your white, black, hispanic, asian, middle eastern, etc.... WE ARE ALL AMERICANS and we need to take care of each other. God Bless America Amazing Grace Lyrics "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me.... I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now, I see. T'was Grace that taught... my heart to fear. And Grace, my fears relieved. How precious did that Grace appear... the hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares... we have already come. T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far... and Grace will lead us home. The Lord has promised good to me... His word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be... as long as life endures. When we've been here ten thousand years... bright shining as the sun. We've no less days to sing God's praise... then when we've first begun. "Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me.... I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now, I see.

maroonandgrey
And their is a very interesting view of this. Type in LOOSE Change. Its a video, wacthed it last night. Might just curl your hair. I don't know what the heck happened and I'm not a rebel. Just something to look at. Please don't use this day or board for that type agenda. There are places for the conspiracy theorists...and this an it.

Contender
This is the Fireman's prayer. just something some of you might want to read it. This is the prayer lots of firefighters say before they go out on there shift or before they go to bed....keep in your thoughts all 343 firefighters who died this day 5 years ago...I am a firefighter at Bloomingdale Vol. Fire Dept. and I know this day means alot to me and im sure alot to everyone else. Fireman's Prayer When I am called to duty, God... Where ever flames may rage... Give me the strength to save some life... Whatever be its age... Help me embrace a little child... Before it is to late... Or save an older person from... The horror of that fate... Enable me to be alert... And hear the weakest shout... And quickly and efficiently to put the fire out... I want to fill my calling and... To give the best in me... To guard my every neighbor and protect his property... And if according to your will... I have to give my life... Please bless with your protecting hand... MY CHILDREN AND MY WIFE.
SoCal42
Here is the police officers prayer.......... In Remembrance . . . The Monument I never dreamed it would be me My name for all eternity Recorded here at this hallowed place Alas, my name, no more my face. "In the line of duty" I hear them say My family now the price will pay My folded flag stained with their tears We only had those few short years. The badge no longer on my chest I sleep now in eternal rest My sword I pass to those behind And pray they keep this thought in mind. I never dreamed it would be me And with heavy heart and bended knee I ask for all here from the past Dear God, let my name be the last. by Sgt.
