Well let us see here, who HAS Lake County played this year so far: Byhalia MS ( Rent A Win Team ), Fulton Co. Ky, West Carroll, Halls, & Greenfield ALL WHICH HAS LOOOOOOSING RECORDS and then YES there is UNION CITY which also has a loosing record BUT has played MILAN , WESTVIEW, OBION CO, and now McKENZIE which all are very good teams. Outside the district schedule for L C they have played " Rent A Win FootBall Teams ".

Come october 13th Lake Co, you WILL see " Finally " a team that can play football and show you a few things as well.

You will need this " Good Luck "

I'll bet if L'C' loses to the Rebels it won't be nowhere near the lopsided score that U.C. lost by..And had it not been by the Rebel turnovers in the first half, along with the kid being blocked into the kicker for a U.C. first down..it would have been much worse..I still believe Lake Co is two touchdowns better than U.C.,even in losing to the Tornadoes

Now I believe the turnovers ARE part of the game from what I recall. Just look at the Tennessee / Geogia Game. If Georgia had not turned over the ball as much Tennessee might not have won. Sooooo what you are saying is turnovers really doesn't tell anything about the game. Face it, the Lake Co. / Union City Game was a game of 2 halfs and the Falcons just happen to play their best in the WRONG half. I am not saying they are not any good, I am simply saying that the Lake Co. of old is a VERY LONG LONG Time off from being back and they have to get more players for one to be there.

And why don't we just play the games without the officials. Is that what you are saying? I was there and saw every play. 99 % of the time if a player is that close to the kicker that call is going to be made. Just lake the ole saying is in baseball "If it is close enough to call then it is close enough to swing at".

Bottom line is , yes UNion City is down this year and has had a tough time but year in and year out we can handle our own. Our schedule and stenght of scheduling tells that story.

To prepare yourself for the post season you have to play up to be ready and even McKenzie plays up just like we do playing Huntingdon ( And Beat them ). They also play Trenton ( AA ) and Dresden ( AA ). UNion City on the other hand plays Milan ( Now AA and has been AAA ), Obion Co. ( AAA and play with most of those teams ) and Westview ( AA ) and has been AAA at one time. If you were in the Union City shoes and could play up in AA with THE SMALLEST AA School in the state or play down and be ONE OF THE LARGEST A schools in the state you PICK.

End of Satements.

Go Union City, Obion Co. & South Fulton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GET OVER IT, U LOST, END OF STORY!!!! A WINS A WIN AND UC WON. THE NEXT U WILL GET IS IN THE PLAYOFFS(dont think uc will be around long enough sadly :( ) SO QUIT CRYIN AND MOVE ON! UC WILL AGAINST THE LOSS TO MCKENZIE(i was wrong in sayin that mckenzie wouldnt be as good as last years, they were better) WORRY ABOUT THE REBELS, (and playin better in the second half), NOT A PAST GAME. I THINK UC WILL FINISH 7-4 AND 2ND IN THE REGION. Good luck to the rebels and kick their butts. GOD KNOWS I HATE LAKE COUNTY SKEEZERS! :o:thumb:

Mckenzie is gonna beat Lake County like a big ole bass drum. Your only hope is to destroy a bridge between Union City and Tiptonville. Go ahead and start looking towards basketball because Union City is no.2 and ur appearance in the playoffs will be short lived. Surrender now and save face. On Friday nite u better wake up pop, and go get sis, cause this is a butt-whippin u won't wanna miss.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
