What makes you so positive that the YOUNG kid is going to start for THS? Inside information or are you just a proud father that thinks his boy is a lot better than everyone else?

Hello rookie. I played the proud father role last year...and the year before that...and the year before that!! And believe me...the saga will continue! Ask your clown friends. They seem to know all about me. :thumb:

And to answer your other question....86. :thumb:

There probably isnt a sophmore in the big 9 that could start for the varsity team except Odum and Adams from Science Hill and they might not even start there.

But I do have to say Frankie Adams from DB has the best chance of anyone around here starting as a sophmore on varsity.

Odem started several games for the Hill Toppers last year. What makes you think he won’t start this year? :thumb:

Frankie doen't have much chance at all of doing this since he is a sr :thumb:

Mudddog you rarely have a clue of what you’re talking about…do you go to, or graduate from Central :thumb: ??? You would be better off sticking to a thread that you can actually contribute to like “Introduction Songs”. That seems to be more your speed. :thumb::P

Does anyone know when the Big 9 Jamboree is and where? Also, any scrimmages in the Upper ET?

Jamboree is November 15.

Cap if anyone on here doesnt know what they are talking about its you. OK I made a mistake by forgetting the name of the good sophmore at DB. My bad. But I think that most people on this thread would agree that you have no clue what you are talking about. Maybe you should stick to the football threads. Because thats the only sport you can put up a good fight for your mighty Vikes. ANd No i dont go to central or have i graduated from central.

The only ones that strongly disagree with my post are all from the Central Circus…and you. That’s why I asked the question because you would fit right in with the rest of the Clowns. :thumb:

that is real funny, the only reason central fans disagree with you is because you talk crap about central all the time and act like you know all about how they will play and you dont have any idea..... Central had a great year last year and beat your mighty vikings twice and that really bothers you.... Your vikings started out playing real good and all of you started talking about going to the state... How much did the tickets cost to the central circus, because after the first round of the district last year you payed to see it!!!!

Cap... you amaze me with your rediculous post. The reason I disagree with you is because ur wrong and I believe what central people say to you. They dont boast about central being so awsome like you think TN high is every year. They dont think they know everything about every player in this area. They dont come on here bragging about how their son WILL BE the starting point guard.

Bballfan is right to.... Once your Vikes lost in the tourney, you kept coming back to the Circus???? So you must like watching GREAT BASKETBALL because you was there.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
