I saw a couple of Tullahoma players and the Grundy Co boys coach and a couple of others.

shelbyville 64-54 mcgavock

 

nisha buchanan had 19 points and 15 rebounds

 

but i saw no kayla bryant in the scorebox is she hurt

 

 

Shelbyville is well coached & recognizes mismatches very well. McGavock had a 5'4 guard on Buchanan & Shelbyville took advantage. That was the difference in the game. McGavock was putting up a pretty good fight till then.

I wasn't at the game. Do you mean that the radio crew now sit directly across from the scorer's table on the other side of the gym? Also, what benefit do you see with the radio crew being across from the scoretable?

I saw Coffee Co play Macon Co tonight. Coffee Co played much better than they did against Marshall Co. Coffee Co was up by ten, but Macon Co made a good comeback and won by 3. Most pleasant suprise was seeing the guest radio announcer who played for the Lady Raiders state championship team. Leslie is Lady Raider all the way through and her father is one of the best men I know. I would like to see her coach the team. She knows the game and is great with the girls. Also glad to see the radio crew across from the scoretable. This Lady Raider team will only get better.

Thanks wing, she'll be on several games this year. She was fantastic on the air. I like the new look we have across from the new scoring table. The gym looks very good with the new lights.

Well, 8AAA is 14 games into the season against non-district teams and so far has a very unimpressive 6 and 8 record. That is with 3 of the 7 not winning a game yet and 2 playing 500 ball at 1 and 1. Still early, but by the end of the Thanksgiving break, we should have a good idea as to who wants to step up and lead this group. While my team is Lawrence County in this district, I always pull for the district over all and wish that the record were better at this point. While many of the losses came at the hands of good teams, to say I am concerned is an understatement. This is district 8AAA after all.

Very good showing against a strong 7AAA team. Could Shelbyville be a better team without Armstrong? Sure looks like the chemistry may be there for another run at it all.
