where does one go to find write-ups, stories, photos, etc. of Unicoi County Football?

 

I bought both a Johnson City and Kingsport newspaper this morning, and couldn't find so much as a boxscore on last night's game. The Unicoi newspaper online only updates occasionally, and is usually 1-2 weeks behind.

 

Any ideas?

It should be in tommorows paper, one game a week gets a sunday write up in the johnson city press. Both the beacon and the erwin record are only printed once a week. If you want those you'll have to wait till tuesday.

Well they should win over Central, but they would have to come up with another conferance win somewhere to get in the play-offs, won't they?

They'll probably have to beat East also, but as of now they are the 4th seed.

Both North and Unicoi are sitting at 2-2 in the conference, placing them in a tie for the last seat in the current playoff positioning. However, if they were to finish the season in a tie, the breaker would go to Unicoi for their win in the showdown. In order to solidify the spot, Unicoi would have to win two out of their last three conference games. Good luck to both teams and continue to portray what determination, toughness, pride, and sportsmanship is all about in our region.

I just thought it was common sense that since North lost to Unicoi Co. that meant that Unicoi Co. held the 4th playoff spot as of now. That's 1 of those tie breakers ppeople talk about.

Unicoi has South, East and Central the last three weeks.

North has Johnson County, South and TN. High in there last three.

 

Unicoi has an edge with the schedule for sure and might only have to win one of the last three games and could win more as for North needs to really upset a couple teams and it would be upsets.
