Richland may win this one...but have to give a nod to Houston County QB...watched him play.......if he had receivers......Houston would have a much better results in their record.

Houston Co. must first get by Loretto this week before they play Richland. If the Irish are able to do so then they'll be in line for a playoff spot when they play the Raiders in week nine.

 

Adamsville is in a bit of a "trap game" this week against Stewart Co. on the road. They must win that one to keep pace with Richland. Those two play in week ten and a playoff spot could be at stake that week as well.

 

Richland better enjoy their bye week because the first two rounds of the playoffs start next week. This for a team that got to the second round of the playoffs last year (and with a few plays they would have been a quarterfinalist).

IMO Houston County has a chance, but Richland still wins by two at least 10.

Everybody gave Houston County no chance with the exception of a few. Richland overlooks Houston County. Guess what? Chance at a playoff spot. That coaching staff has done a tremendous job to turn that program around, especially after the tragedy they had to deal with during the summer when they lost a player during their one of their summer workouts. Way to go Houston County.

I agree. I am not sure that Houston County coach deserves coach of the year with the things that he has had to overcome. Salutes go out to HOuston County for not giving up. After getting a win under their belt, they have played good football since. Who knows what would be happening had the field goal been good at the end of the Adamsville game.
