Maryville vs Halls

Reddevil1 you are right. What I meant to say is Halls is running a lot of the same stuff as you all did in the flexbone formation or mirror formation and we're running more wing-T stuff along with it instead of the I. Wouldn't it be nice to have a fullback to run behind like that 96 team had? Perhaps just one Rutherford to run behind?

As for central west and powell...

Powell loses a lot of their key players like bruhin, that big 75, the receiver and qb and perhaps that running back. They're definately losing a lot more than Halls.

West returns a lot, they should be the favorite for 2nd next season IMO

Central always finds somebody to reload with so you can't count them out for that 2nd position either.

And we'll be returning basically everyone and gaining a talented freshmen group. Who knows how everything will turn out though, it's a long ways away.

Yes, Powell loses Bruhin, McGaha (#75), Cruze, Huffaker (tailback), and Thibodeaux (wideout). It will definitely be a transition period for the Panthers.

Its going to be a lot like Halls this year. New faces everywere. At least Abba has experience at QB.

Hey, Powell in the next 3 years or so looks a little iffy based on current JV, freshman and middle school teams. And I say that without all but a smidgen of glee (well, maybe a little more than a smidgen). No, seriously, we want Powell to be competitive so we can brag when we beat you. Your rec teams are seriously strong in the younger age groups. I suppose we all (except for Maryville, and, again, we all know why) must go through those types of transition years.

    • They did a 10 play series deal instead of down and distance. LC scored twice but if it had been an actual game neither would have mattered because they turned over the ball twice with Sweetwater forcing fumbles both times. LC only scored on the 2nd stringers as well. Defense is looking solid and the offense has a good running back and receiver who did not play last year but made several great catches during the scrimmage, I believe the cats had some key pieces missing with baseball and track still being in season at the time. Considering the wildcats were matched up against a 5A school the cats held their own and forced multiple turnovers while also creating scoring opportunities against the LC defense.

I spent 27 years, faithfully in the United States Military. I don’t know if it was because I am Black or an easy target”
    • I don’t see any of them guys why leave programs to go there with no community backing or anything. Word up here on the hill is davy and veto into it over whose kid should be q b for jr high. Tough times in tc hope it all changes with a new face. And once again we aren’t giving up shoulders. And he doesn’t want that crap down there lol
    • They had the toughest bracket last year and no one said a word. You will never make everyone happy. Someone is always complaining.
