What are the top 4 teams in each region and top players for each?

Region 7AA

 

1.) Obion County (Roney, Reedy G, Reedy A, Williams, Maghee, and Butler,...)

 

2.) Jackson Northside (Cliff and Delk)

 

3.) Dyersburg (Hollaway, Macklin, Coleman,.....)

 

4.) Gibson County, Milan, .......G(Pate, Maclerath, senior point guard) M(Poston and Carter)

 

District 13AA will be tough with the likes of Milan, Obion, Gibson, and Dyersburg. Westview possibly could compete with Crockett(very athletic) and Dyer at the bottom.

 

District 14AA will be Jackson Northsides' to lose. With Cliff and Delk returning they will be tough. USJ could be the surprise team this year. They looked very good this summer. Haywooooooood will be Haywood, with Ripley and Fayette Ware fighting it out to make it to the Regional tournament.

 

Ought to be a great year!!!

Red Boiling Springs, Clarkrange, and Jackson Co. easily 3 of the top 10 maybe 5 teams in the state...Should be the top 3 teams in the region...

 

Pickett Co was a very young team last year, and they were talented...They should make a big impact coming into this year...

 

Clay Co- I really don't know much about them, and what the got coming back, but last year down they stretch they played some really good ball...upset Gville in the first round and was just a couple of points away from a sub state appearance...

 

Westmorland- Returns everyone but 1 player...Should really be the only team that comes out of 8a that really will challenge 7a...

II like the idea of top 3 teams in the region should go to substate. That sounds like a plan. number 1 seed gets automatic bid in the state while 2 and 3 of opposite regions battle it out. something like that?

Jackson North Side should be a top contender. You have 3 All-Staters: Delk, Cliff and Ross.

I'm just wondering what each region looks like as far as the top 4 teams in each region based on the regional tournament. Also, what top players will be returning for this year.

 

Any predictions for the top teams in District 5AA-6AA/Region 3AA? Have any teams drastically improved or lost lots of players, etc.?

I'd say McMinn Cent has to be the favorite until someone proves different. I'd say Sequatchie, Grundy, Tellico Plains, Polk and Brainerd all have a good shot at being in the region top four.
