way to be 2 for 2 on state championship games, but wouldn't you rather finish second 50th or something like that. seriously that is not a very smart comment to make. you have to get there to win it and you can't even get there.

Both CPA and Goodpasture have gone to state championship games and won. The two programs know what it takes to get that far. It is an incredible journey for the players and their fans. Nothing like it!

But the thing I will find interesting about Friday night's game is watching both teams play a full four quarters with few substitutions. It should be a night of great high school football. Hopefully no injuries on either side!!

Yes goodpasture lost last year in the state they lost to the second best team in the state too the only team better was maryville. But that doesnt matter that is the past lets talk about this game. It will be the first time since PJP that goodpasture will get to play a whole game and the first since MBA that cpa will. Should be the best teast for cpa's defense and for goodpasture offense and vise versa this will just be a great great game.

They made it last year....CPA was at home!!Quit the arguing about this..talk about the game and not about the team when none of the current players were born!!The runner-up comment was stupid on whoevers part because CPA lost to the RUNNER_UP!!

"Goodpasture Football" didn't start until Coach Martin came in 1992. Before then Goodpasture didn't even care about football. They were just a regular team. but since then Goodpasture has been to the state game 5 times since 1995, winning 3. No senior class since 1992 has ever came through Goodpasture without playing in a state championship.

One final "seasons from the past" comment...CPA beat Goodpasture in the regular season when CPA was 1A and Goodpasture 2A, and Goodpasture went on to win the state in 2A that same year. Not sure what year, but it might have been 2001. Welcome to The Den Friday!!

This is an evenly matched game. Both teams have alot of talent and have an equal chance at winning this game. I think it will come down to the last minutes of the game and wont be that much of a high scoring game.
