etcoach
I was shocked to hear that Andre Sterling was credited for best back in 2-5A.Some people may call me crazy but Andre Sterling cant carry Marshall's jock strap.Marshall rushed for 190 on 25 carries against the Ads. However, Sterling was held to 96 yds on 29 carries against the owls; the only REAL defense the Ads have played all season. I like the owls in this one with farrgut quarterback out for this game. But who would you rather have Sterling or Marshall? Predictions on friday nights game? This is why I have problems with the Owl faithful. They are both very good backs. etcoach
you do realize these are 15 yr olds making these comments, dont you? No, I do not know the ages of the posters. Only a handful of us actually put our name on here. Mostly me, Gov Man, and TV Gov. Everyone else is too scared to put their names on here. This way, they can say what they want with no repricussions. That is what is wrong with this board. If people were to put their names on their posts, then this board would be more accurate. FHS_Admiral
I'll take Sterling any day of the week over Marshall and twice on Sunday !!! NFL Sunday that is ! I wouldn't be surprised to see Sterling playing on Sundays one day. I can't say the same for Marshall. Sterling has done what he has done without much of a complimentary passing game at all. He has faced 8 and 9 men in the box trying to stop him almost every single game this year and still has nearly 2000 yards rushing. In fact, the only game Farragut has had with a significant passing attack was against Ooltewah. Marshall has had the benefit of a much better Ooltewah passing game to take the pressure off of the running game. His yards are much more of the result of a well balanced offense. I hope Marshall will enjoy watching Sterling play high Division I college football, and possibly even watch him playing on Sundays one day !!! This is not meant to take away anything from the Marshall kid. He is a really good high school football player, but he is in no way shape or form, nearly as good as Andre Sterling !!! ImaOWL
It helps alot when Farragut offensive line averages 6'4 280...... Ooltewah has been undersized every game this year other than Heritage and Oak Ridge. Left tackle 6' 210 left gaurd 6' 245 center 5'11 235 right gaurd 5'10 220 right tackle 6'3 270 You can compares stats all you want. Marshall is averaging 6.4 yards per carry with 20 touchdowns and 250 yards receiving and also has a 10-0 record... Sterling will be stopped again. Ooltewah knows how to stop him and will hit him in the mouth often and early.

ihavenofriendzz
im not 15. as far as i know i am the only person on here who talks about Farragut who is under 21. Rigger talks about his kids. and i dunno bout FHS Admiral. i think he said he doesnt even live in TN anymore. but we are the only 3 that i know that support Farragut and know a lil somethin about em and talk regularly on here on their threads.. im almost 18 and 90% of what i say is the truth. ull disagree im sure. but its true. im still not sure why Rigger even talks on here. i atleast go to Farragut and i love it. i guess i should just quit. about Sterling being stopped again.. We'll jsut have to wait til Friday. Edited November 13, 2006 by ihavenofriendzz

Ooltewah knows how to stop him and will hit him in the mouth often and early. Well we will find out just whether or not you can stop Sterling again this coming Friday. I wouldn't exactly count my little "owls" before they hatch there Mr. Cocky !!! As for Marshall's stats, like I said, he is greatly helped by your passing game. Sterling has not received much help from a passing game and has gained his yards mostly against defenses especially geared to stopping him. That is the difference between the two. If Marshall had to run against 8 or 9 men in the box all the time, he wouldn't have near the yards he currently does. The bottom line as far as this thread goes is that Sterling is better and it ain't even close !!! That's why he's nominated for 5A Mr. Football and Marshall isn't, even though Marshall is a very good back. (I don't mean to imply that he isn't)
