Top ten petty differences between Ravenwood fans and Smyrna fans:

 

1. Our houses don't have wheels

2. We don't get paid in cigarettes

3. We have belts and know how to wear them

4. We apply sunscreen to protect our neck instead of growing a mullet

5. Our family trees have branches

6. Our cheers don't start with "Hey Ya'll, watch-is"

7. We are not snobs...keep it up and we will make you work the 3rd shift!

I would like to reflect on this season of high school football in Tennessee. It's kind of sad that another high school football season in Tennessee will end after Saturday. Some team's season ended in regular season while other fell off during the five rounds of playoffs.

 

For the seniors, most will never play football again. Only a few fortunate players will make the next step up. Think of all the work the seniors put forward since playing football, knowing the day of playing football is coming to a close.

 

The championship game is a time to celebrate, not only for Smyrna and Ravenwood, but for all the other teams involved in this 2006 class. Between now and next Saturday, enjoy the time left in the season. Reflected on the ups & downs of the season and positive impact it made to you and the community.

 

Teams win and loose, but to playing high school football can be your most cherish thought and memories of a young man life. Being part of a team is very special that might not come again.

 

As parent and fans, don't spoil this moment for yourself. Enjoy each other company, smile, and laugh, all knowing this special day will soon be gone. Take plenty of pictures, volunteer, and do what you can for the team, school, and community to make this day special. Regardless of the final score, everyone is a winner to be part of something as special as this season ending event.

everyone doubted ravenwood against smyurna earlier in the year... and people r doubting rhs again and according to the big ones as of right now... smyrna is being picked 58%. the matchup in week 5 means as much as a score at halftime. all i kno is that coach rector knows how to bring out the best in every player and it is incredible. i dont see how ravenwood can hold on to rector that much longer cause im sure colleges r lookin at him. anyways last game it was windy and cold and a little rainy and that kills both of these passing teams. but anyways my pick in this one is ravenwood 28 - smyrna 16

 

 

Do any of you other Smyrna fans notice the same thing I do??? This blog sounds ALOT like the bolg on Smyrna vs. Riverdale. R'dale kept on and on about the score of the Regular Season game and look what happened??? Smyrna fans do you all see this????

I think Ravenwood will come out on top for a couple of reasons.

1. We BEAT Smyrna during the regular season and yes I know that they have a different team now but so do we. Michael Becker is ready to go now unlike then when he wasn't 100 percent.

2. We were here last year

3. Michael Ayers is the fastest man in the world

4. Our fan support is stronger

5. Coach Rector is a genius

6. Smyrna has ugly colors

7. We have more momentum

That is why I believe RHS will come out on top GO RAPTORS

whoever disagrees obviously has not been to any of the ravenwood playoff games.

 

Oh yeah, spitting and throwing food and trash on the opposing team makes your fans better.... and I do disagree with you and I know what I am saying is true b/c I was at the game when it happened. But yeah if that's "classy" to you then oh yeah you have better and more classy fans than Smyrna any day of the week!
