Last year Ravenwood was going to have a bonfire. The bonfire ideal was kill off by the county school board. It 's not allowed on school property due to the Texas A&M bonfire disaster. Your county may be different. Better have a backup plan.

HERE IS TODAYS ARTICLE ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE DAILY NEWS JOURNAL FOR ALL SMYRNA FANS! PLEASE READ BELOW!

 

"Smyrna High School will hold a community-wide pep rally and bonfire Friday from 7:30pm-8:45pm at the school in preparation for Saturday's Class 5A Championship Game against Ravenwood at MTSU's Floyd Stadium. Cheerleaders,Band Members, Students, Parents, and Bulldog fans are invited. Admission is FREE. Football ticket booth will be open with tickets for sales to the championship game."

The property that Smyrna is having the bonfire on isn't owned by Smyrna but by Rutherford County. The school has already taken care of getting a burn permit from the Sheriff's Department and already has approval from the county. The only back up plan we will need is if it rains and I doubt that will stop anything at this point
