CoachGonyeaTemp
Even though I am a Smyrna fan I must admit that this is the "cheesiest" statement known to mankind. "I Believe".....which means since in our universe everything must balance out, I guess before "I believe" there must have been "I do not believe" Please get rid of the hokiness. Thanks for the input Never the less, we will continue to hold the pep rally.

Where exactly is it? and the tickets that will be being sold, will those be for Saturday or just the 5A championship? I think the tickets are for just the 5A game. I could be wrong. Let me check tomorrow and I'll post on the details. The tickets and pep rally will be over by our Ticket booth.

I have been told that it will be on channel 30 can anyone else say they have heard anything about that?
Lost Old Dad
It is good to see someone doing an old fashioned honest to goodness 'Pep Rally' again. We see so many complaining that there is NO community involvement today, and I personally think it is the lack of doing things like this that has caused part of it. Hard to feel a part of the school if everyone except students are excluded from events like pep rallies. I know the students like them during school time as it gets them out of classes, but it hurts more as most of the students I see at the games are not usually even watching the game. They are mostly heing and sheing and talking on their cell phones. Don't get me wrong, there are some kids watching the games and there is nothing wrong with being with your girlfriend or boyfriend, but most nowadays are forgetting the real reason for being there and that is supporting the TEAM. This applies equally to EVERY school in Rutherford County and not just Smyrna. Smyrna, Thank You for reviving this old tradition! I can still remember when EVERY school had their designated bonfire area.
