O.k. then. How about the other big named coaches like I asked before? Or is this just another way for "Big Orange" fans who are not real football fans to cry about Steve Spurrier?

He wouldn't be required to teach. He would be a "Volunteer" coach and would "Volunteer" to show up on game day. Big Phil could only be so lucky to get a deal like that. Do you think the Vools would ever get a player from Science Hill as long as he was "Volunteer" coach?

Steve could probably coach at UT at the same time. And do a better than what we have had at SHHS and UT

Its fun to talk about Steve Spurrier coming back to Science Hill, but we all know that will never really happen. Apart from him being one our own, he isn’t very popular in Johnson City.

He has a clause in his new contract to coach Science Hill on Friday night. That way he would only have to be in town for 24 hours each week. Since he is so well liked, that would give everyone less time to dislike him. Just get the win and move on. "Coach em up".

I am told UT has invited Science Hill's middle linebacker, Aaron Trent for a visit. He will be a senior next year.

 

Pretty amazing for a kid that couldn't even make All-Conference! Actually, he is quite deserving and seems to be a fine young man.
