Is there anyone who would have predicted 8 wins, before the season started? My thoughts were 2 wins for the year.

I had told one of my friends before the start of the season that if the Titans could get 6 or 7 wins this season...I would consider it successful....I just didn't think they would be playing for the playoffs in Week 16...

I hope they give Fisher a contract extension soon.....He is probably the best coach in the league right now in my mind at least....

No WAY! When you have coaches like Bill Belichick for the NE Patriots and the Ravens coach Brian Billick that are always either winning "the former" or hanging around contention "the latter" for the Superbowl, you can't begin to think that Jeff is the best in the NFL. That's crazy talk. He may have coached up a very young team to contend but you got to get to the big game or close on a consistent basis to hold that moniker. Here's, just to name, a few other present greats....Parcells, Cowher, Reid, Holmgren, Gruden, Lewis, Billick, Schottenheimer, Dungy, Fisher, Shanahan, Fox and Del Rio. Somewhere in this order, Fisher falls and I believe he's close to where he falls in this list.

Most if not all of those coaches you named have at least 1 or 2 big name playmakers on there team....The Titans had 0 to begin the season and now have 1 or 2 or more....I just think Fisher has done a good job coaching this team to the success that it has had this season....

Another canidate for coach of the yr would be the Jets coach.

Yep, agreed. I don't know if you saw the story on how that coach got his job but it was something special. He's a workaholic just like NE's coach and he was the coach that gave him the break.

Too bad the Titans are out of contention. I truly believe for the way they are playing now, that the Titans would make a better playoff team than the Jets hands down.

    • Great to meet you too.  We're going to work hard to get back.
    • I extend my gratitude to ManCoverage for initiating this discussion thread tailored to the residents of Trousdale County. In times of adversity within our football team, it is imperative to have an outlet for expression, and what better platform than CoachT's Craigslist forum? I respectfully request that GOAT exercise discretion in his commentary, as his remarks have caused me personal distress.
    • I am inclined to wager a substantial portion of my financial assets on the likelihood that Waggoner shall transition to an alternative coaching vocation prior to the year 2028. It is my contention that discerning individuals are beginning to perceive his coaching prowess as lacking in the requisite excellence. Allow me to articulate the following assertion: Waggoner represents a markedly superior choice compared to the individual who perpetrated the act of fuel theft.   This individual exhibits a conspicuous propensity for frequent professional transitions, a trait which undermines his credibility and renders him an untenable choice for serious consideration. It is indeed confounding that his candidacy continues to garner attention and support.
    • Yeah same   It’s definitely true that tough times make tough kids, but some kids just have a big passion for the game and will become the best of the best no matter where they come from.
    • Hope you enjoy it King and good to meet you at state this year. Good luck to the Lady Landers. Keep battling.
