No way that Enumclaw is worse than Unicoi, but you are right, Greeneville played poorly last night. I have seen them play much better, everyone was off (except for Wiggins). If the others players play to their full potential, I think they should beat Krop. I don't think that they could beat Liberty though, they just don't have the weapons...it might be close because of Greeneville's defense, I'm not sure how Liberty would react if Greeneville slows the game down and stops the fast break.

Ya Unicoi is pretty bad…but believe it or not, Ron Bliss tricitiessports.com (the website that is providing the simulcast) has them ranked as a top ten team in this region.

 

Enumclaw got MANY open looks…they just couldn’t make a shot…not even a lay-up in most cases! You may be right about the Greenville’s defense, but it didn’t show last night. Any opponent that scouted Greenville last night would have to come to the conclusion that the more you limit Wiggins’ touches, the easier it will be to beat Greenville.

Liberty Tech is a tough matchup for any team anywhere if you've seen them play. I saw them in the state last year, and they are very impressive defensively. If you want to see an example of how they like to play defense, just take a baseball bat to a hornet's nest. They have more speed and quickness as a team than anybody you'll see. They play incredibly hard, they are tough, they have several guys who can light it up so you can't focus on one. They will press from start to finish no matter who they play. They will sacrifice fouls to try to force turnovers, and to beat them you MUST shoot free throws well as a team. They are incredibly fun to watch play, Dexter Williams played at Union under Ralph Turner(former Don Meyer assistant and as good a coach as there is in Tennessee) and you can tell he learned a lot about coaching from the guy, they can go 10 deep and don't lose a whole lot, and they don't care if they foul out. There may be a handful, but I don't see many teams at any high school level beating these guys.

Science Hill defeated Urspring Germany today 44-41 to improve their overall record to a whopping 16-2 on the season. They are lost behind all of the Liberty talk in this topic but they are a legit threat to be playing in the Class AAA State Tourney in Murfreesboro later in the season.

How was the pairings decided in this tournament?

 

 

Back in the fall they have a open meeting that coaches and media are invited to and they have a random draw (local teams vs visiting teams) that sets the brackets. It is the luck of the draw as to your bracket and not some manufactured bracket to favor certain teams.
