BroadwayBaller
I know that SHHS has been clearly ahead of the curve in the BIg 9, but with the return of Coty, can the indians give them a challenge or do they face the same fate the rest of the conference (besides east) have faced. Boonie
I think that DB is capable of the upset over Science Hill. I think just about all of the other teams in the conference are capable of the upset over Science Hill, it is just going to take 4 quarters of solid basketball to do it. Anyone in this conference can beat any of the others on a given night. It would be hard to pick against Science Hill but I would not be surprised if they lost to DB tonight. I think they can challenge...the question will be will they challenge. I have seen more than one game this year where the Tribe has not looked inspired. And Wattad and crew are hard to beat unless you give it all for 4 qtrs (as in the Lenoir City game). Coty hasn't found his shot yet.

I hope they can keep the momentum going. Yeah Indians looked really good tonight., they gave a great TEAM effort. I can't say the same about the bunch at Science Hill. Besides Wattad, there is NO heart on that team. I've never seen a bunch with so much talent, squabble amongst each other and never give effort on the defensive end. The hill should rename their team, Omar featuring the Zero effort Toppers. Anyone who questions Wattad as the best player in the conference does not know basketball. He single handedly carries that team. The hill would be dominate if someone else stepped up. It looks like the same story as last year, stop (or at least slow down) Wattad and you beat the Toppers. where's the love?
DB played really well.If they play with the same intensity through the rest of the season, they will still be the team to beat in the conference.
CandaceParkerFan
Last night was the Classic SH-DB Rival game! The Atmosphere was set for DB to once again knock off the Toppers. Coach Charlie Morgan always has his men ready to play SH, however SH's program has yet to figure that out. Why can't SH beat DB at DB?? I think there is trouble in the camp. Why would anyone let Josh Odem, obviously SH's bets outside shooter, sit out this game? Oh and was I the only one to notice that Coach Cutlip chewed out one of his assistants in front of everybody? Wow! SH definately has the talent in this area, but I just wonder if it is being used properly? They stunk up the Arby's Classic...well as did all the rest of the teams. The Arby's was horrible this year. This is the ultimate time of the year for basketball and we will get to see the level of play increase from this time on. OMAR, seriously man, quit talking about yourself. You are fooling no one. Everyone on this board knows that you are Heatplaya and Broadwayballer. People would respect you a whole lot more if you didn't get on boards like this just to talk about yourself... On another note, why did Odem sit out?? On another note, why did Odem sit out?? I'm not Omar Wattad. I coached an aau team which Omar played on in elementary and middle school. I had the pleasure of coaching Omar in middle school and I enjoy watching my players progress. Odem reportedly sat out for disciplinairy issues. ps. I enjoyed your hit "LIKE a ROCK" back in the late 80's early 90's
BALLIN
WHO DAT SAY GONNA BEAT DB? Great game tonight... the reason db won is because omar was pretty much shut down... Coty was faceguarding him most of the night and he did not have many chances. great team effort by this indian squad.
