warrior4ever you seem to know alot about football in bledsoe...i have been watching for a while and had the priviledge of playing with many of those guys that have been named...didn't have the opportunity to play on one of the best teams though I dare say we were as physical as many of those teams and maybe as talented. ahh you were always better than you were, haha but it is fun to remember....I miss the articles that Ricky Debord used to write and the days when Mel and Bill and Lewis did the radio. Bledsoe football when it was something special even if we weren't really winning, we were at least feared

I remembr those days bchswar. Teams did not like to come to the valley to play b/c they new what a physical game it was going to be and how beat up they would be win or lose. You bring back alot of good memories. I hope they look back and build on the tradition. Everyone needs to embrace the past and use it in rebuilding the Warrior football program.

Thanks wardawg, we do not necessarily have a tradition of being a power when it comes to wins and losses but until very recently our teams were known for playing hard. That is not what I have seen the last few years, dirty yes hard no. I also think that our community has simply lowered their heads and let everything go on and kept our players from realizing what they mean to the community. I remember when the local businesses painted their windows and got excited about Warrior football.

I was not fortunate enough to play on one of the better teams either, and was not the most outstanding player of all time, but I knew what it meant to play for BCHS and to wear the blue and gold. On the Sidelines, and Mel, Lewis, and Bill; I could not wait to listen to the playback on Saturday morning after watching on Friday night... then reading the report on Wed. morning from Ricky as soon as the Bledsonian was out. I truly believe there are some of us out here that if we stick together and work for what is right we can make a difference and bring back the BCHS power of old and give the kids the benefits and memories we all share. By the way, not that I have any political power, which board members are ready to make a change in the administration, and what can be done to help.

1110 WUAT....The little GIANT of the Valley. Sounded good.

Hey, what about the team from the 70's.

Tony Sapp has got to be mentioned as a great running back.

Help with other team mates please.

they started that I believe in the early 90's and that was a great tradition that like so many others was stopped. I was talking with a big player from the 83 team and he mentioned how they used to drive the bus through town and turn around at the funeral home when they were playing away games and people in town would stand outside and cheer. I missed that but am sure that was something to see

    • The people need our help!
    • Lol when was last time they won region or got past the 3 rd round.
    • Gravedigger gotta finish filling the hole before hitting 40 East. May need a new Yellow Shirt play signaler on the Stones. And apparently a new strength coach now. Cicadas must've got shaken out of the bushes in Donelson. Hopefully the mower man sticks around to keep DG field looking pristine. Maybe new OC can call in a favor to his PGA friends that knows a thing or two about being green during the season. The heat is on soon. Bring in the 2 way freak Iceman and cool things off. He knows a thing or 2 about wildcats. Gotta take our talents South soon for Nationals. Don't step on my blue suede shoes.
