Colts vs Bears - Superbowl

Ill give him props on this .. He is the best quarterback in the NFL in the regular season. In the postseason, he stinks. He didnt play well this postseason, actually he played awful for Manning. His defense finally decided to come and play, and thats why they won. He is a great QB, in the regular season, numbers wise. I will still take Brady over Manning anyday of the week. Brady knows how to win and has done it many times, Manning has done it once in his career and that will be his only time, and he did it thanks to Rex Grossman.

Man give credit where credit is due! Peyton is the man and now will prolly retire as the greatest QB in NFL history and he will have numbers that no one will ever touch! And the man has a great chance to win at least a couple more SB!

As far as this Grossman winning it for Manning, I dont think so! The man played a great game and called a better game and was the catalyst for a 250 yards passing and over 150 rushing with his ability to adjust to a good defensive team! As far as the int goes, it was 3rd and long and his deep throw was near as good as a punt!

Peyton is the man! And I am going to post a topic that I have put in other places and I hope you get to read it!

Poor, dare..... he just keeps posting.....

Let's make this clear...... Almost every Super Bowl team you can remember had a good, if not great defense. The Colts are average on defense, a bunch of no names with the exception of Bob Sanders.

But with great leadership, from the coach to the QB, they won.....

But keep going, dare.....You are a hoot....If it were truely stinky playoff QB's that win the Super Bowl, then your Florida man GROSSman would be holding the trophy....

Did forget about Freeney.....Pass rush specialist.....But it was the run that the colts struggled....

Hey, it will end when D2D quits making a fool of himself with his Manning phobia....

Good job guys! I've been on a trip to the Great Lakes for a couple of days and now I come back to read this thread. I'm still laughing. In fact, I'm proud of the people that understand when role models win big games that they are the ones to praise many times over to compensate for all the thugs that usually represent that role sometimes in this sport and mostly in others. Every parent should understand that this is as great of a sports metaphor to teach in Sunday school class as there is. There are just too many good role models on this team to not use it. I say use it and use it often. You've got at least a year to call special attention to the many accomplishments of these great players to solidify your teachings. Kids understand sports and kids need "GOOD" role models. Don't miss out on this great opportunity because obviously, the opportunity came and went when D2D was growing up

Hey he wasn't the only Bears and Grossman fan on this board...you'll never get more diehard than me. But I said diehard...not STUPID. Anyone who was watching Sunday and can't admit that they were in the presence of greatness, is blind, in denial, or is just plain dumb for the sake of being dumb. Give it a rest dare...I hate Florida with a passion but was behind Grossman 100% because he has moved on and is trying to be what Peyton Manning has already become...and that is a GREAT QB. Sticking to what you believe in is all well and good, but be a man and know when to admit that you were wrong.

    • Looks like South Pittsburg added some more talent!
    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
