like i said before it didnt seem to bother them too much, if any, they hit their shots and won the ball game... woo hoo good for them, maybe you just thought they should have won by more and now you are saying they could have if not for the man flashing a camera in their face, this makes perfect sense...

Surely you aren't saying that teams are good sports or bad sports only based on whether they won or not?

I am a 56 year old adult that supports High School athletics. My Daughter plays for Siegel, so I have a dog in the hunt. I sat there and watched the guy point and fire the flash directly into the eyes of the shooter EVERY time the girls went to the line. He was not taking pictures of anything or anyone for a legitamate reason.

One of the Siegel parents went to a police officer standing at the end of the court and politely asked him to make the gentleman stop firing the electronic flash. The kind servant of the people turned to him and said, "You can't tell me to do anything, buddy". His daughter was going to the line when this occured., so the Siegel parent walked over and stood in front of ole Blue Coat/Red tie , sheilding the shooter from his camera. When he walked away after the shots were made, MR Class fired off several pictures of the Fathers posterior and yukked it up again.

All o f this did happen, as I witnessed it. Additionally, the tape of the game will also clearly show what a class act this guy is. I am sure he has not heard the last of it, as a matter of fact I can almost guarantee it. To justify his actions by saying the Siegel Nation(15-18 yr old kids) is obnoxious has nothing to do with a paid school administrator acting in such a manner. If this is what your community is all about and wants to accept, that is your choice, but I hope he will be banned from any and all school property in Rutherford County.

So it doesn't matter if your "15 to 18 year olds" are unsportsmanlike because.....??

What does this have to do with what happened? Was the nation misbehaving?

You just have been very quiet on the subject of siegel's crowd behaving in unsportsmanlike ways, except to use the excuse that the "Nation" as you call it, is composed of "15 to 18 year olds". Well obnoxious behavior is still obnoxious behavior and maybe your principle should stop that and maybe Cookeville's principle should stop his flash photography ( if indeed he did that).

So your posts are now getting to that. Are you saying that if the nation stops the Flash photography will stop. i not only will not answer tht but it makes me doubly certain that this situation will be pursued. Are you a cookville fan and were you at the game Friday nite?

Quite the contrary, I am not a fan of either team, but have been in attendance in the past 2 years at a few games where Siegel happened to be playing.

If you reread my previous posts, I say whomever took the flash photography was a poor sport (and if in an official position, exhibited poor leadership in my opinion.)

But I am also saying, it is curious for siegel to bemoan lack of sportsmanship when they allow their fans (teenage and otherwise) to be so tacky at times.

I have seen the Nation do some really questionable things......and I think they should be held accountable by administration.

However, if this was really an administrator deliberately trying to make a shooter mess up a foul shot, that is a lot worse than anything I think the nation could do.

If I had been aware of this and were a coach, I would have stopped the game and refused to continue playing until the camera was confiscated or the gentleman escorted off the premises.

We had students at Franklin County that blew airhorns right at the snap everytime we went on offense last yr. needless to say it caused us to jump offsides multiple times. We approached security about the situation at half time and it was taken care of. That kind of thing shouldn't be tolerated......and I would think Siegel could report it to TSSAA IF they have some solid proof on film .

sorry, didn't know i was posting with Someone not even in 7AAA and a supporter of a school in 9AAA. maybe you might make your way to the Soccer forum and antagonize over there. This was a serious situation you didn't even know existed and had no background. Appreciate your posting but of you know nothing about it, it is difficult to know how you could have an opinion. I'm out of this conversation and will not reply to your posts.

    • Biggest position to fill is QB. Kamden was special. A 1A team that can run and pass is very dangerous.
    • That would have been Coach Benjamin who was his legal Guardian and the DB coach.  I was the LB's Coach that was barely older than the players (I was going to UT for school and had started at Greeneville since my Sophomore year when Z coached there and he asked me to help coach)
    • Going on over a month now and still nothing, rumor mill or not I think a decision needs to be made. Maybe they don’t have anyone wanting it and maybe rumor mill don’t need it they are taking this long to come to an agreement.
    • Gibson County proved last year you can win it all with 6 players and if I’m not mistaken they only played 5 in the championship game. I would expect them to be good by end of season but I think losing Hart is a huge loss.  Summer camp gives teams a preview of what to expect and it’s exciting to see where teams are at. The Fillies return 3 starters and the 6th man that is 6’2” and I think she is going to surprise folks this season.
