That’s true…they did drop a couple of close ones. But in all fairness they didn’t get beat by a 7-15 South team nor did they get spanked by Central by 20 points. It’s obvious that winning JV games is not as important to most as it is to DB. Here’s another Cap1 “cold hard fact” for ya…Playing JV as a junior is sometimes a signal that you may want to find another sport to play next year…if you know what I mean.

Central would have beaten Science Hill by about 20 had it not been for Omar's garbage points.

Your right Science Hill does start on the JV level. On February 6th vs. DB I think Coach Vannoy won't let them lose again. There only loss was to DB, so they will see that and play a little harder.

I would like to see the eight sophmores that play varsity at Science Hill play, but will their coaches allow that?

Dobyns-Bennett won the Big 9 JV Championship, both Regular Season and Tournament. I'm not sure about the overall record, but I know they only lost 1 game. That 1 loss was to Science Hill @ the Palace on a TERRIBLE shooting night for the Indians. I think it's pretty safe to say that 1 loss was a fluke, considering the Indians had already beaten Science Hill by over 20 and the Dome and then turned right around and beat Science Hill AGAIN by over 20 at the Topper Palace in the Championship game of the tournament.

Congratulations to the Indians!

What happen to the upperclassmen? Where are they? Burn out, Drop out, kicked out, coach player/issues, transfer? It is one thing to have a couple of So. on the varsity, but 8? All 8 are not superior to the talent of the players that would now be sr.s. Science Hill just reloaded. This was one of the things that led to the decline of the football program. Never could keep guys out long enough for their sr year.
