Another good win. But............................................

 

is anyone really feeling secure on our defense. We can't out hit our mistakes every game can we?

 

On a postive note its still early but the defense needs to come together before tourney time. Hard work and confidence is needed to support our pitchers.

Yeah Baseballmad. I watched the first Karns-Halls game and I thought your defense looked suspect.

 

Then you came over to Karns and even though we put the ball in play quite a bit your guys played an error-free game.

Good call Mad, I think it will come back and haunt us in a game or two, maybe in the tournaments because we have had some games with errors and we are 5-0 against the top 3 teams in the district but who know. Big one tomorrow at OR.

Big game tonight at the Ridge for the baseball team. Wonder if Spinny gets the call?

 

12 great point. We seem to go through Monday Madness with the miscues then the Wednesday games we settle down. Hope it stays the same tonight and the bats keep talking.

Oak Ridge 3 Halls 2

Oak Ridge defeated Halls earlier tonight. That puts Oak Ridge on top of the discrict by 1/2 a game with a 6-1 record. and Halls with a 5-1. I think that's right, correct me if im wrong

Not that it means anything right now but they are both 5-1 in the district.

 

Oak Ridge has victories over Clinton & Central twice and Halls once - 5 wins.

 

Halls have sweeps over West & Karns and even with Oak Ridge - 5 wins.

 

No time to look over the shoulder because Karns and Powell are one back.

I saw in the box scores that Oak Ridge also beat Campbell County once. so that would put them @ 6. But they have to climb an uphill road to get past Karns and Powell

Wanted to let you know that was correct John Doe both Oak Ridge & Halls share a 6-1 record.

 

Hitting has been strong all year so far. Most starters are over the .300 mark after 13 games. Pitching is coming along with good outings from Cooper, White & Fielden.

 

Clean up all the infield errors and this team has a chance to do great things.

Congratulations Halls Red Devils for seeding #1 in the District Tournament.

 

Regular season looks like Halls & Oak Ridge tied for the top spot with Halls winning the tie breakers.

Congrats to Regular Season District 3AAA Co-Champions Halls & Oak Ridge and to Halls for the #1 seed in the district tournament. It should be a very good tournament with a chance for redemption for some quality teams.
