Beat me to it, but yeah drew is getting some money, I dont know whether its for academics or athletics, some maybe ill find out down the road. The great thing is not only is Vandy one of the best programs in the country, its a world class academic institution, so no matter where he goes, he'll have that Vanderbilt degree to fall on.

 

BTW, Ive been told he will play catcher and by taking a quick glance at their roster, it looks like he will have a chance to start in a year or 2. So Oakland pretty much now has a guy going to every major post secondary institution in tennessee

i am truely happy for drew pj tyler as i have watched those 3 play ball from T ball and up and i have gotten to know them all very well i have enjoyed watching them play and grow up to be fine young men that i know their parent are very proud of ( didnt know marcus growing up but i am happy for him too) but those are 3 fine kids and i wish them all the best in college I JUST WISH THEY HAD COME TO RIVERDALE except PJ becasue then my boy would not have played LOL

Looks like they made the right school choice afterall though, didn't they? hahahahaha.......

 

Mr Fanntastic could very well be part of TWO state bound teams...baseball and Bball. Not too many kids could say that he went to state the same yr in 2 different sports. Just like in 84 when football won state and boys bball got the silver ball.

don't forget 98 football and 99 baseball. two state champs in the same school year

however...so far at RIVERDALE our SRs have already been to the state tournament 2 times and during his career we won 1 state football championship and a girls state championship but whos counting LOL
