TWF Freshman/Sophomore State Championships

February 23-24, 2007

Dickson County High School, 509 Hensley Drive, Dickson, TN 37055

Entry fee - $10.00 (medals to four places)

 

Gate – $8.00 all day or $5.00 after 5:00pm. Children under 12 free.

 

Thursday, February 22, 2007

5:00pm – deadline for weights of wrestlers emailed to tbadon@dcbe.org or faxed to 615-441-4135. Information should include all wrestlers name, grade and planned weight class. $10.00 to change weight class on Friday night, $25.00 to change weight class on Saturday morning.

 

Friday, February 23, 2007

Registration – 6:00pm to 8:00pm (cards and club packets available)

Early Weigh-Ins – 6:30pm to 8:00pm (change of weight class on Friday for $10.00 fee)

 

Saturday, February 24, 2007

Late Registration – 7:30am-8:30am

Late Weigh-Ins – 8:00am to 9:00am (change of weight on Saturday for $25.00 fee)

Wrestling scheduled to begin at 10:00am

 

Weight Classes (all wrestlers will receive a 3 pound allowance)

Freshmen only – 95, 103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 285

Sophomores only – 103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 285

USA National Cards are available online at USAW Membership or applications for national cards will be available at the Friday registration.

 

USA TN League cards are available to registered clubs only for $10.00 each. TN League cards are only good for TN folkstyle events.

 

To charter a club go to USAW Club Charter. The fee to charter a club is $50.

Who is planning on going to this event?

 

There is an AAU tourney in Cookeville and another tourney in Clarksville this weekend also. I am trying to get a feel on where the most competitor are wrestling this saturday.

If past years are any indication the Fresh/Soph state tournament is very competitive.
