Thanks, I wasn't quite sure how all that might play out. I knew they were neck and neck in the standings. So, by last year's pairings, if they wind up like your saying, then probably the winner would play Tellico.

...I don't know the result of the Sequoyah-Brainerd game...either way one team will be #6 and the other #7...McMinn(13-2) is #1 seed and the "Lady Rams"(9-6) are the #4 seed...Meigs(2-13) is #8, Boyd-B(1-15) is #9...If Tellico(11-4) & Polk Co(11-4) both win or both lose, Polk will get the #2 seed...If Tellico wins and Polk loses then the Lady Bears would get the #2 seed...Sweetwater(8-7) is the #5 seed!!!

I read on the scoreboard Tyner beat Polk by 1 tonight. It sounds like anything can happen in that district. Didn't Tellico win the regular season and finish fourth in the tournament last year?

...Yes, Tellico did win the Regular season in 5-AA last year and they were the 4th seed after the District tournament...in the game last night the "Lady Rams" led by eight after the 1st quarter(12-4)...and were up 24-15 at the half...after the 3rd quarter it was 31-25(Tyner)...Polk got the lead with about 2 minutes left in the game and was leading with 25 seconds(37-35)...Lundyn Howard took control and shot a 3-pointer with 2.5 seconds remaining to secure the win!!!

...It's Tournament Time in Tennessee!!!

Does anyone know if the entire district tourney is at Cleveland State or are the first two rounds at the home of the higher seeds? I know that's how the region tourney is but didn't know if the district would be the same way. The good old T$$AA has figured out a way to make itself some MORE money. Anyway, it should be one whale of a district tourney.

...The 'entire' 5-AA tourney is at Cleveland...the new rule by the TSSAA says that on school nights(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) only two(2) games can be played...Tuesday, Feb.13th the #8 & #9 seeds will start the tourney off beginning at 6p(girls) and 7:30p(boys)!!!

I know Brainerd, Tyner, and Central have the top 3 spots. And I know the loser of Friday's Meigs at Sweetwater game will finish 8th and play Sequoyah in the play in game.

...I've got to go to a meeting @ 6PM...when I get back, I'll post the standings on the Boys thread!!!

...The #3-#9 seeds all have "play-in" games...the only teams with an automatic spot in the Region are the #1 & #2 seeds(Central & Polk-girls, Brainerd & Tyner-boys)
