QUOTE(ragincajun477 @ Mar 17 2007 - 09:58 PM) 826415770i can't get over the fact that #3 didn't start for csas. it's like they didn't want to win.

ya I thought #3 and #35 were the best players from CSAS...Temple is a VERY good team but plays totally different ball than what I'm used to seeing here in the west...Congrats to Temple and to Skogen as you played AWESOME in the past 2 days...No one could stop ya!!!

QUOTE(ragincajun477 @ Mar 18 2007 - 08:46 PM) 826416695i think the media timeouts severely hurt csas. they're used to runnin and gunnin w/out timeouts and tiring the other team and with media timeouts every five minutes didn't help.

What was it that severely hurt CSAS the other three times they lost to Temple?

Well Union City has been in 1A two years...One state championship, two Mr.Basketball awards and were ranked #1 all year this year.....

Folks saying MJ Brown didn't win the award should take a minute to read what Seth Skogan told The Tennessean in the Sunday morning edition....He said the right guy won the award.......

To be honest,I figured politics would have come into play...Skogan was returning as finalist and is a senior....I figured he would win it.....

That just shows you what kind of character and class Seth has. It also shows, again, why he is the real mr. basketball whether he has some dinky plaque or medal to prove it or not.

Congratulations Temple!!

Congragulations Kevin and the boys. I knew something good was going to happen for those freshman that stepped on the floor in 2004 against Unaka. Rusty and I were glad to see you take home the gold ball.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what happened.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
