Houston looked out of sync for most of game. Catholic put a lot of pressure of their defence. Best game of tournament for Catholic.
pseudophobia
QUOTE(The Tron Special @ Apr 1 2007 - 05:54 PM) 826427689[/snapback]There you go hatin on another good player. I have seen Kat play many times and he is not a dirty player. He is just freakin real. I am not "hatin" on anyone- and I do believe that he is a great player. The fact is that him being" freakin real" will cause some player to be out for the season when they get in a "real" fist-fight for trying to duck under a player as they jump for a header. I can see when these things happen accidentially, however, ducking under someone while they are in the air and then stepping into that player while they are above them is intentional. I have seen it done 4 times. It is such a concern for me that I warned the Houston coach about it and he told his players to be aware of it. Sure enough, he did it again...and when he did the Houston coach was yelling about it. Rightfully so!! My own son will be playing soon and I can tell you that he has seen this- and if this happens to a teammate of his, it will be his last game of the season. I fully expect that the insueing fight that it will cause will be one to remember. I just know that this type of play ends up seriously injuring someone. At this point it is a matter of when, instead of if someone gets injured. What happens when someone tries and do the same thing in return?? This causes nothing but disaster and is terrible for soccer. It has to stop!!
BigG
The sad thing about this is that I have seen it happen in other games, and then the ref calls it against the player that went up for the header, and not against the player that undercuts him. Tell you son to jump not into an opponent and he probably will not have anyone ducking to keep from getting hurt. Your barking up the wrong tree here , but you are right in saying that if your son trows a punch it will probally be his last game!

This causes nothing but disaster and is terrible for soccer. It has to stop!! Wow.....all this about one player who is going all out for the ball. I agree that it is bad when it is done intentionally, but to call out Nathanial like that is out of line. I have played with and against him so many times i cant remember and he would never do that intentionally. If he is running towards an air 50/50 ball and thinks he can get it at his feet he isnt going to jump up for the ball, with out thought you immediatly go for the ball regardless of who is in front(side)(back)of you. Its soccer instinct, yes it might happen more than once but the player is not trying to injure another or intentionally foul them. Specially Nathanial in this situation, he is a phenominal player and person. Like the other person said, your barking up the wrong tree
