QUOTE(Solomon @ May 4 2007 - 10:23 AM) 826451581I love this board.........

Just for the heck of it, has anyone looked at MP's schedule and results from last year?

Schedule

I detect a bit of what could be called "Satterfield Syndrome" with this guy - gripe about privates all the time, but not be afraid to hang 50+ on them when the chance comes.

CLASSIC! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

That shows the idiocy of mr. lil' kitties argument AND I now have a new phrase in my vocabulary!

QUOTE(Indian @ May 4 2007 - 09:49 PM) 826452194Coach Flatt is now saying all independent schools should be in a different division.

Glanced at the article in the TFP about Flatt. Didn't notice any quotes. Are you quoting one from a different source? Potter with BA's talent might have to move up to D1 NCAA. Not a better X's and O's coach in the state.

What's wrong with hanging 50+ on a private?? They will return the favor if they get a chance /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Just shows that some privates recruit better than others. I mean poor Zion is in a rural area in a rural co where most of your state championship calibur privates are in urban areas and know how to work their magic in the world of "transfers"

If privates can recruit the country/world for athletes with their unlimited zones - as stated by some on these boards - then why would it matter if Zion is located in a rural area?

Ok lets see, If I'm part of a private school in 1A in a town of a million people or part of a 1A private school in a rural county of 65,000 people with surrounding counties of less population, who do think recruits better? I never said they didn't, I just said they dont do it as well. They (Zion) did a good job in basketball by getting that player from Brentwood Academy.

Reportedly, by MPS, a player transferred from BA to Zion, ipso facto, he was recruited. If a very good football player transfers from a private to a public, was he recruited?

You are bitter and pathetic. I guarantee you can find any excuse for losing.

I guess since they are such a pwerhouse in sports, kids from all over want to transfer to Zion. As far as your question, it would be questionable.

Did you learn to call someone bitter and pathetic in Sunday school yesterday. Its an opinion, if you dont like it dont read or respond to it. Take Roosevelts advise again.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
