15u pool play results:

Memphis Flight (James) 3-0; They play the 2nd place team from Pool B, Team Pride (Gold, Woosley) @ 10:30 today.

Memphis Flight (Miles) 3-0; They play the 2nd place team from Pool A, TN Elite (Jackson) @ 10:30 today.

Same 4 semi-finalists as last year at 14u. Also both Flight teams won their pools last year. But the TN Elite and the TN Team Pride were in the Finals with Pride winning it all. Pride went to be #3 in the country last year at Nationals.

What was the score of the game? One player can make a difference, besides what's the difference if she played or not, she's still 14U.

What were the scores and results form the other age groups?

Well I know that many people dislike KGC Lady Pride because they have won 4 straight state titles. I am thinking that she was brought down to beat the pride. And since she has committed to Tn, I think she does make a big difference. She is a good ballplayer and I'm not taking anything away from her, but if she is not going to play in the nationals with the Flight does it not hurt them more. Also, I am thinking there are alot of politics going on within this age group.

The answer is yes she has played with the team all year and will be with them at nationals, no she wasn't brought in as a hired gun to beat KGC, and it is a ridiculous question to ask if the Flight would have won without her, just as it would be ridiculous to ask if KGC would have gotten beat worse if one of their great players wasn't on the team. Congratulations to all of these wonderful girls on your state championship and #4 nationals seed. It's too bad some people have to look for conspiracy theories instead of giving the team its proper respect.

Don't have the scores but i believe most of the margins of victory are pretty close:

9u: TN Team Pride def Team Memphis Elite by 2

13u: TN Flight Trotters def Team Memphis Elite by 5

14u: Memphis Flight def TN Team Pride by 15

15u: Memphis Flight-Miles def Memphis Flight-James by 12

    • What you are saying is true about high school athletics being a privilege and not a right, but NO ONE ever knows what will happen if a case goes before a jury.  Again, I have been in a couple of jury rooms and it's always a little crazy.  That is why my prediction is you will see a settlement before the case goes to trial.
    • What rules does everyone not operate by?
    • So you want a have and have not split? Sound like the perfect ramp to elitism. Tell those rural kids that they'll never be able to compete with those urban kids. They're not good enough right? Or we could just do what travel baseball does and have tournaments every weekend and give kids big fake rings for winning a few games. The suburban public schools are typically the ones with more funds. Urban and rural schools have more in common in finances than they do with rural schools. I've taught and coached in all of it. The difference is attitude. But if you're jsut going to say you can't compete because you don't have the money then that's an excuse. Especially in basketball. The balls are the same size, the rims are the same height and size. The ball dribbles the same in some rural gym in mountains as it does in the FedEx forum. Charters come and go like a fart in the wind. They are no real threat to anyone. Magnets could be but rarely do they win either. It just hasn't been seen in Tennessee.
    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
