Whos the best Offensive back in Reg. 8-2a...You have the Bledsoe kid from Milan at RB that I heard will be pretty awesome, you have Antoine Cunningham of Gibson Co. that can run with the best of 'em, you have Kendall Harper from Peabody at QB but also runs the ball effectively...I'm sure there is SEVERAL more in this region but there's a few...who is the top Offensive back (QB/RB/FB) in Reg. 8-2a this year?

QUOTE(bulldawgs#1 @ Jun 11 2007 - 10:36 PM) 826474067[/snapback]Trenton has a couple of good ones coming back.

Milan will have several good ones as well. Gotta like havin Bledsoe, JW Williams, and Pearson back. Gilbert and Little Bledsoe will both shine this year as well. Come playoffs a lot of people will know the name Moo Gilbert.

I forgot about Harrison Moore from Westview...I thought he was a senior last year...he will IMO be the best QB in reg. 8-2a this year..

Moore is a good one cause he is a double threat with his legs and his arm and Coach Coady uses him affectively, but the fullback J.C. Griggs is another one! He is known as the Bus Jr. cause he is a load to bring down! He had a good year last year minus the injuries! If he can stay healthy this year he could have a big year!

Anyone else?? bump!!

Does Griggs have a brother who will be a freshman this year?

He does have a brother named Jalen, but he will be an 8th grader this year! He will be one heck of a ball player too! I already got my NFL tickets reserved with him lol! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I believe if GC had a better mind set and a senior line they would have the best back field in 8-2A

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
