GLee
Been waiting for a Falcon thread to start up. You guys are slow at the gun this season. You have scrimmaged Elizabethton. How did that go? You have a top-notch coach and I think you are headed in the right direction. Knowing that numbers mean quite a bit at this level, how are the numbers going and how much experience comes back from a good start for Coach Rider last season? Good luck..... GC_Quincy
Probably about as many as DB has Hawkins County kids. I don't recall seeing anyone say anything about DB in this thread.
footballfan1224
Standouts... OFFENSE QB#7 is a great kid and with plenty of experience under his belt should be one to watch out for (senior) HB#32 is a hard-nosed runningback (senior) WR#12 had his moments with some good catches (senior) WR#11 made some good catches last year but i heard he's hurt (senior) WR#3 had a lot of good catches, not as much experience..but did great last year (junior) Offensive Line looked like it had improved a great deal since last year when i seen them in the e-town scrimmage Standouts... Defense MLB#64 Watch out for this one, in my opinion can hang with the best LB's in East TN (senior) OLB#19 had a lot of knee problems but i remember him from his freshman year and im told he'll be back..Tough kid (senior) OLB#44 had a great first season as a Varsity starter (junior) NG#33 big fella breaks it up in the back field (senior) DT#45 great player, always around the ball and seems to always be in on the tackle (senior) SS#20 did awesome last year and picked right up where he left in the scrimmage versus e-town (junior) FS#5 hard hitter and great team player, also plays a little tailback and does great there (senior) probably many more i could name since this team is loaded with seniors and a lot of returning starters..This group went on the 8-1 run in 8th grade at church hill middle, then 7-0 their freshman year, and a lot of them started their sophomore years and had to take a few beatings, but they've steadly improved and i've heard they've worked extremly hard in the weightroom and on the practice field..i Know whats happened in the past doesnt mean anything this coming year, but hey this team has history and thats no lie..i look for a great season.. Go Get 'em Falcons
