Brentwood Academy vs. Ravenwood

Predictions anyone? During Week One, Ravenwood lost in overtime to Goodpasture 22 to 21. BA played Independence, and the score was 21-7 at halftime before the game was stopped due to lightning. How will these two teams match up for this week's game?

Wow, don't be so sure of yourself.

 

BA is one-dimensional on offense and if ever there was a man who could devise a scheme to shut them down, it would be Brian Rector.

 

No, you're not going to stop CJ, but if you can limit his big runs and make a few big plays, I think you've got a great chance. Ravenwood O-Line won't be pushed around like Indy's was and Becker is the best QB in the area.

 

I really like Ravenwood's chances.

dunno but they lost cuz rector didnt go for 2 which is very unlike him when they go into overtime with franklin they almost always go for 2

Actually Coach Martin borrowed a page from Rector and went for the game winning 2 pointer instead of the tie. Ravenwood scored first and went for the PAT.

I'm very surprised that Ravenwood lost to Goodpasture. I certainly don't want to downplay Ravenwood b/c they have a great coach and solid QB, but BA is a lot better then Goodpasture. While BA may be one dimensional at this point, they are absolutely dominant in their running game. Preventing CJ from making big plays will certainly be key for Ravenwood. I've heard it said that it's not a rivalry until both teams have beaten eachother, but this has turned into a nice local "rivalry." I'm sure Ravenwood will be very fired up for this game and BA will not over look them. I still predict BA is a hard fought battle.

I'm gonna be a little more careful with this year's prediction. Last year I based my prediction on the fact that Father Ryan made Ravenwood look bad in a scrimmage. I don't exactly remember what I posted, but it was something to the effect that it could get a little ugly for Ravenwood considering how good BA supposedly was. Ravenwood slapped BA around last year and probably should've won the game. I'm not familiar with each team this year so I'm not gonna make any................wait.............well, okay, BA wins.........

BA by at least 14. Ravenwood will probably get better as the year goes on but they are not at a level to beat BA at this point in the season.

i mean i understand wat ur sayin donathan, and mayb i have gone overboard with my prediction. but i kno some people from goodpasture and they say that their line isn't as good as it has been in the past and with that, since they forced it to go into overtime it makes me think that their defense isn't good enough to stop a big running back with a good O-line...that's jus my opinion
