hillwood96
i think gallatin will improve but that have to have that want to and desire i say gallatin 24-17 Are you serious? Hillwood has not been competitive the last two weeks and you think the #1 team in our region will only win by 1 TD. Hillwood is riding a 21 game losing streak and most have not been close. I think Coach Phillips has a team that makes alot mistakes and has a bunch of penalties. I hope they can turn it around but Gallitan might have all 250 players get into the game Friday. DontUnderestimateUs
I think Gallatin will do much better than last week now that they have some playing time under their belts. The coach should have thought this last season and should have prepared for it. But the boys , I think, will pull together and come out with a win
hilltopper12
So any Hilltopper fan want to enlighten us on what kind of offense or defense ya'll are running. Coming from Hillsboro did Phillips implement the wing-t? Hillwood runs a 1-back/spread offence and i think a base 4-3 defence. Baskin ran the wing-t last year. Gtowner
Gallatin had a hard way to go last week, and have a lot of kinks to work out. With that said, Hillwood is going to be a cake walk compaired to Lebanon. If Gallatin limits mistakes, they win by 21 or more.
GWAVE1
From Lassiter's description today on the radio, sounds like the Hilltoppers have some talent. Secondary is fast and there is some size in the line. I just hope we have improved from last week.

Verb58
Hats off to Hillwood. They played tough all night long and never gave up. The catch for the TD was the most amazing play I've seen at the high school level, talk about johnny on the spot. The hilltoppers have nothing to hang their heads about tremendous improvement over last year. 23, 7, 2, 31, 33 were big playmakers. As to Gallatin. I really liked the intensity that the D played with tonight, 64 and 24 were all in the backfield in the 2nd half. I would like to see better tackling still too often on 3rd down they were able to convert on 14-18 yard plays. This part really needs some more tweaking but keep at it you will get there. The O-line did better tis week but again too many times the speed of Hillwods LB were getting past the line. Overall I will take the win and be glad about it and Hillwood will win some region games this year for sure. Big green called the score 24-17 congrats. GWAVE1
I too will take the win. Hillwood looked very much improved from any time I have seen them before. They definitely have some play makers and very good speed in the secondary and skill postions. Qb looked very poised under intense pressure in the second half. I will also agree with Wave88 that we need to tackle better. But it was better than last week so I assume that it is a work in progress. O-line looked better and I thought Boo and Holder ran with more authority. But #64 Sweat...what a game!! This guy was everywhere in the backfield. Great job. I also thought Pate #27 did a good job on defense as well. We played a lot of players tonight and I was happy about that. Play calling did not looked bogged down either. Overall it was a step in the right direction. We are improving. Bottom line, the loss last week is not as bad with Lebanon taking out Smynra and Hillwood looked better than their record indicated. So how good or bad we are is still up in the air.
