Ravenwood (1-2, 1-0 Region) vs. Brentwood (0-3, 0-1 Region) - It's time for the Battle of the Woods! Ravenwood had a bye Week 3, but won a nailbiter against Franklin the previous week. Brentwood is coming off of a tough 28-0 loss against Blackman. Predictions?

ravenwood is looking better than brentwood. i say ravenwood 24 - brentwood 14

Defense will win this... period

I believe you are correct and the o-line doesn't look bad either. They have some juniors that are doing a great job. that center(Casey Duncan) he is quick up off the line and /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" /> can open a hole up for Becker to run right through. Go Raptors!! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Take the Woods Trophy off the mantel in the Crawford office and get ready to present it at game end. It's coming home to Ravenwood.

Whats a Woods trophy? My pick for this game is (hold on while I flip my coin) Okay it has to be Brentwood by a score of 10-7. Has to be a low score with both teams offences struggling. I am sure it will be a good game but truely could go either way.

"What's a Woods trophy?" Guess you don't know much about this rivalry. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
