BA senior forward Lara Langworthy tore her ACL and meniscus Sunday afternoon against Collierville.

BA was up 1-0 at the time and pressing for a second goal.

Lara has been an outstanding player at BA and for Brentwood Real Madrid, an ODP National Pool Player, and is a UT Lady Vol commitment. She is an outstanding leader and loved by her teammates. The Lady Eagle captain will be missed for her leadership, skill, and personality. The BA family has her in our prayers and please join us in wishing her a speedy recovery.

BA please pass along best wishes from the Eastern part of the State where she is well known and respected. The ACL is a bad injury, but with a good surgeon and diligent rehab, she can be back as good as new by the next soccer season. All the best!

My daughter has competed against her in soccer and in track relays. She is a heck of an athlete and handles her ablities really well. She will be missed. Best wishes for speedy recovery.

So sorry to hear as well. My families thoughts go with her;

Mary Gray Johnson, Sr midfielder for Sequoyah went down Thurs against McMinn Central. Her MRI will tell the tale, but her MCL is most probably torn, according to the excellent men at TOC.

Though not ODP, she is pretty well known around the SE part of the state, She played at Elite and SMSC for Luchi and her last competitive season with Rex's Impact team. For the last 2 yrs has been all Dist 5, all region III.

I understand better than most how you feel today.

rehab well.

Chindit, sorry to hear that about Mary Gray. Sorry to hear about the BA girl as well. Especially tough since it's their Senior years.

My daughter tore her ACL playing winter indoor in Jan. Had had surgery in Feb. Started playing again in Aug. Threw her brace away in Oct. She is still as fast as ever. She had a great surgeon, dedicated physical therapists and lots of determination and hard work on her part. It is not a career ending or even a limiting injury any longer.

Good luck to this young lady. She certainly sounds like someone who will not let this injury keep her down for long.
