Looking forward to the game . I here WECO (radio) is covering the game . I hope we have our kids healthy. I think we could have stood toe to toe with Midway if everyone had been healthy. Lou and Hood need to get back in play. I was impressed with Sexton and how he stepped up to the call Friday . Hope to see more from him this week. All of our receivers seem to be ready to play. Glad to see one of the woodard brothers contribute Friday. Shafer belisle almost turned a blocked field goal into something. We are on the edge of becoming a very good team. these kids have so much potential. Call it a prediction , I think there will be more and more kids show up that we haven't seen much from this year. you never know what to expect from Onieda. One of the reasons they are so fun to watch. As usual, I don't like to predict a score, but I feel it will be a great game!

A great game is exactly right...Sooner or later and I hope sooner we will start catching the breaks when they happen instead of our opponents benefiting from them..for example the fumble on midways opening drive....It seems some of our younger guys wil have to step up and I hope they do but when you play a schedule like we have how do you expect not to have injuries....we have played tough games and have more to get through...lets get through this one friday with the "dubya" secure our second seed

I hope our young Indians remember to have fun! Have we lost several games? Yes. But the games were worth playing. Fun Games. Fun to watch, Fun to play in. As a player, you have to want these types of games! Games of consequence.

How many teams loose their starting DE on Monday, then their starting LB on the first series of plays and still hold Midway, at Midway, to 7 points in one half? Everyone wants to win. Sometimes you pull it off, sometimes not.

Right now the boys should relax and have fun. We have a core group of linemen who are committed to winning. Around them is a laundry list of boys who step up every game and make plays. The faithful shall be rewarded in heaven and on the football field. Stay focused! Listen to TL and Coach Wright! Practice hard and the wins will come.

Nothing left to do this year but go out, have a good time and smack some folks around!

I hope that there is no hangover, expectations were high and the loss hurt. I think we have the making of something speacial at Oneida. Coach Wright brings a lot to the table. The Offense has strugled , but you can see it is going to happen, they wiil blow up on some team and put mega points on the board. The defense is there, crushing people now and the youth is growing up Coach Brewster has been a big help this year and with Coach Burchfeild back to run the weight program again, these kids are going to be the power in 1A for sometime. Just keep digging Oneida is going to make big waves in the playoffs.

Until the next reclass. when they will go to 2A.

Sometime , reclass does not go the way people think, Numbers can change quick in those rural areas. It might be YOUR school moving up instaed of Oneida /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

And with alot of schools growing ,the enrollment numbers could go up.

That was said when Oneida got bumped up in 1993 after winning the State Championship in 1992.Guess what in 1994 Oneida went undefeated all the way to state Semi's and lost to Harriman...So dont be on here implying Oneida will not have a chance if they reclass....We done shut a bunch a people up in the past /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

The ole Blue Devils beat Midway by 1 last year. This team will sneak up on ya if your not ready to play!

Remember the immortal words of John Madden "Dont ask if the Mule is Blind...Just load the Wagon!"

If Oneida practices well and comes out firing, Our young Indians will win! I still look for Harriman to pass more this game than any other. I have talked again with the old gypsy on Brimstone Mnt. and he assures me the ball will be in the air 15+ times on Friday!

Harriman with be a good test for Oneida because they have to get right back on the horse. After dropping the first two games this fall, the Indians have been able to overcome the letdown by winning the following week. Kazzy says that it will occur again this week as Oneida slides through by 14. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I don't really expect the defense to come apart as quickly as it did at Midway. (come on boys, opening drive??!!??) That has to leave TL a little PO'd. Scalp a Devil this week!

I wasn't implying that Oneida won't have a chance in 2A. I was only stating that they will probably be placed in AA when they reclassify. You comparing this or even next years teams to the 93-94 teams is ludicrous, there is no comparison.

Oneida already played Rockwood from region 2 and lost. Rockwood will probably finish 3rd or 4th in the region. If Oneida was placed into region 1 AA they would easily make the playoffs.

Oneida is a great program with loads of tradition and class.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
