what do yall think the outcome of this game will be. They are 3-3 in the last 6 meetings between these two schools. I think that if franklin co. comes out of the gate firing then its going to be a great game to watch, not to mention that if franklin co. wins they can still make the playoffs pending a win against cumberland co. and cookeville losing to lincoln and or warren co.

FC could easily be 4-3 right now, but they don't seem to know how to finish. They are certainly not as bad as their record might indicate. Don't know if they will show up against Cookeville or not, but the Cavs better not take this game for granted. Once FC gets used to winning games at the end instead of losing them, they might find out they like that feeling a whole lot.

Always seems like a great game between these two teams. Looks like FC is having somewhat of a tough year this year, but that doesn't mean they won't show up to play on Friday night. As every week, Cookeville needs to have their heads screwed on right and get the W. Good luck to both teams, but GO CAVS!

Last year Franklin County ruined Cookeville's 14 straight region victories. Not to mention sucking all of their momentum as they headed into the playoffs. Look for the Cavs to come out swinging.

I would say this would be a good game because I was certainly impressed with SOME aspects of Franklin County's football team, however, the upset last year is gonna kill the Rebels. Cookeville will win by 14...maybe 17. If Franklin County will come out and sling the ball all over the field like they did in the second half against Coffee County they could win...but the problem is they don't seem to do that until they get behind...but it could work...Cookeville's DB's aren't any better than Coffee County's are. I did read on the Cookeville Web site that they will be stopping at Shoney's in Manchester to eat...haha you may catch em with food poisoning....that place is HORRIBLE lol!

Cookeville 28

Franklin County 8

Cookeville played solid all night. Offense was rolling with the passing game and hard running. Cookeville completely dominated FC the entire 1st half. I haven't seen Cookeville play this physical all year. FC has alot of talent though. Too bad discipline is lacking and that results in a poor record. #88 for FC is a beast and #10 is an impressive QB.

    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
