that chuckey doak game was the worst one they have played all year... Nothing agisnt Johnson coutny they wanted it more than us... we got the big head and lost... but i dont know does anyone at that game think the refs was sorta horrible?? for both teams but more for cd than johnson county... but the score of this game isnt the hole story... Chuckey doak down by 25 goin into the 4th and cutting it to 8 then not boxing out with 2:25.. if we would of boxed out i think we could of came back and won that game.. considerig how bad we played.... the worst game all year... hopefully we can just coast into unicoi.. for a big game!!! see you Jan 22

games tonight??? 1/11/08

i know that unicoi is at sullivan north. unicoi should keep their streak going but anything is possible. they have to come out and play like they can. just showing up won't be enough. it never is in this conference.

i also know that south greene is at johnson county. that could be a very good game. both teams play hard and are scrappy. the team that controls the boards in this one will win. they both rebound extremely well. /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" />

3 Watauga Teams in NET top 10 good showing....

Boys' Top 10

1. Dobyns-Bennett (16-2): The Indians' win streak is at six after a 73-42 win at Daniel Boone and an 80-48 victory over Volunteer at home Friday. They will play last-place David Crockett on Tuesday, then play at dangerous Sullivan Central on Friday.

Next Up: At David Crockett on Tuesday and at Sullivan Central on Friday.

2. Unicoi County (16-2): The Blue Devils have won 36 straight Watauga Conference regular-season games including two more during the week -- 77-54 at South Greene and 62-49 at Sullivan North. On Monday, they will have a chance to avenge one of only two losses this season when they host Hampton. They also play at Happy Valley in a Watauga Conference game on Friday.

Next Up: Hampton at home Monday and at Happy Valley on Friday.

3. Science Hill (14-6): The Hilltoppers righted their ship by beating Sullivan East on Tuesday, but then stubbed their toe Friday at Sullivan Central. They are still tied for second in the Big 9 and it is not time to panic. They just have to be aware of the possibilities when they go to Volunteer on Tuesday. They step out of conference on Saturday when they host Cherokee.

Next Up: At Volunteer on Tuesday and host Cherokee on Saturday.

4. Morristown West (11-5): The Trojans have won eight straight and lead the IMAC with a 5-0 record. The avenged an early loss with a 65-47 victory at Pigeon Forge last Tuesday and then beat Jefferson County on Friday, 58-53.

Next Up: They host Sullivan Central on Monday, Cocke County on Tuesday and Greeneville on Friday.

5. Sullivan East (16-6): Patriots snapped back from 68-54 loss at Science Hill on Tuesday to beat Daniel Boone on Friday, 59-53, and won at Abingdon on Saturday, 60-44. The loss to Science Hill, however, dropped them to No. 4. They will have a tough game Tuesday at Tennessee High and they will play at Sullivan South on Friday. They are 7-2 in Big 9 play and tied with Science Hill for second.

Next Up: At Tennessee High on Tuesday and at Sullivan South on Friday.

6. Hampton (9-4): The Bulldogs got blindsided by unranked Cloudland on Friday, 54-32 after winning at Providence Academy on Tuesday, 60-34. They face probably their toughest week of the season this week with games at Unicoi County, University High and Johnson County.

Next Up: At Unicoi County on Monday, at University High on Tuesday and at Johnson County on Friday.

7. Johnson County (8-4): The Longhorns rejoin the rankings this week after a pair of impressive victories last week. They are second in the Watauga with a 6-1 record and have been coming on. They won at Chuckey-Doak on Tuesday, 59-50, and then beat South Greene at home on Friday, 65-61.

Next Up: Play at West Greene on Tuesday and host Hampton on Friday.

8. Chuckey-Doak (11-2): The Black Knights lost at home to Johnson County on Tuesday, 59-50, and slipped backwards in the ratings. Also beat West Greene during the week, 69-31. They are 5-2 and in third place in the Watauga.

Next Up: Host North Greene on Tuesday and Elizabethton on Friday.

9. University High (14-4): The Junior Bucs are tied for first in the Watauga Valley with a 2-1 record and added three victories last week, beating Cloudland on Tuesday, 57-44; at Crockett on Thursday, 58-56; and Providence Academy on Friday, 83-56.

Next Up: Host Hampton in a key Watauga Valley game Tuesday and Unaka on Friday.

10. Greeneville (11-7): The Greene Devils lost to Maryville at home on Monday, 49-41, and then beat Cocke County on Friday, 68-54 and Meigs County on Saturday, 56-34.

Next Up: Play at Cherokee on Tuesday and Morristown

Elizabethton plays at chuckey doak tonight and I hope its closer than most people think. The cyclones are starting to mature some with the appearance of some guard-play in Soph. Kyle Wash. But I believe they will have to grow a lot more to be able to hang with CD, JC, and UC.

Chuckey Doak by ten, but closer throughout the game.
