Haha, wow i really hope you are not serious. Father Ryan also had thier back ups in early in the 2nd half of the JPII game.

So by say in it is USUALLY a good game to watch, are you saying that this will not be a good game to watch this year?

Also, how can you honestly say that MBA will wear down the Father Ryan team? They have to be in good shape to be 8-0, don't you think??

I'm gonna say this now, because no one has said it yet but #2 on the MBA defense is the most over rated player i have ever seen play.

Read my post. "This will be one heck of a game to watch because it is usually close," that should answer one of your questions. Also, #2 is not getting recruited for his defense, he is getting recruited as a monster fullback. Pay attention to detail before you start to get irritated. Finally, wearing down a defense by running does not mean you are going to just dominate the run. It means you will pound away for 3 or 4 yard gains, then finally begin to bust big plays as the defense gets tired. Father Ryan is 8-0 which of course means they are in good shape, but MBA's running game is their strength, and if it worked against BA to some extent, it will work against Father Ryan.

I do believe that MBA has an advantage over Father Ryan when it comes to getting athletes. Just because a kid goes through the parochial school system doesn't mean he's gonna end up at Ryan. Add the fact that now parents know Father Ryan isn't what it used to be academically(you cannot fire some of your best teachers). Plus, even though most of it isn't the schools fault, but what about athletes that have been dismissed from the school?

Look at your team for example. Current players such as Spencer Wise, Wilson Nealy, Patrick Crum- all from parochial schools. And those are just a few. There are many players from the past as well. Think of the athletes that have gone to JPII. What if Ryan had Golden Tate, Alvin Ingle, Wesley Tate, Courtney Coffee, Gershom Jordan, Brian Sneed? Would they not have played with and/or beaten MBA a few times?? I am not saying that Ryan hasn't had the athletes, they did, such as Mike Hausman, Ernie Owusu, Corey Stewart, Aaron Bateman, Chris Hohl, etc. But throw those JPII players in and we win. Just think about that next time.

Ah, you make good points.

But Chris Hohl? Oh, lol!

father ryan is going to stomp a hole in MBA. they are a joke no matter how many prospects they have. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

you know what, people just cannot let their own biases go and actually face the situation. Ryan has played next to no one this season, and if you say Ensworth, go back and look at the game, Ensworth played like absolute crap. MBA has played Hillsboro, BA, and Ensworth on one of their best games.

MBA-24

Ryan-10

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • No doubt. ORC a good dude.
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
