Campbell County @ Dobyns Bennett

Recommended Posts

Sonny Moore has DB as a 27 point favorite! While they have not beaten anyone this year by 27 I think they understand a win gets a home game in the 1st round and plus it's senior night. I think it will be closer than 27 but hopefully DB will not get caught looking ahead to Nov2. I will anxious to see how we run since CC shut down Duanah.

Has anybody seen DBDAD on here? Just curious

Skunk (or anybody) what will be the tailgate food tonight?

Very sad display of sportsmanship by Campbell County tonight. CC players kept trying to pick fights with DB on the field all night. Their coaching staff went wild after every penitly called against them. Then to top it all off the police had to be called to the Campbell County sideline to protect their head coach from their own fans. DURING THE GAME! Unreal.

DB won by the way: 38 - 3

Yep, KPD had to be called to protect the CC coach from his own fans during the fourth (I think) quarter! Never seen nor heard of that happening before.

The word on John Bowles was always that he was a really good guy. He apparently was a better coach than many thought as well.

I was very impressed with the way DB came out and established the running game between the tackles...I can remember actaully getting frustrated on the 1st drive when CC had everything bucnhed tight and DB did not try going around the outside which was wide open. But they stuck with the running up the gut and took control of the line. And when Chris broke into the open field on the RD is was like he kcked it into another gear. I was also impressed with the way a fresh Justin came in and ran very well scoring the 2 TDs...maybe hasn't been 100% healthy until now. Hats off to Catfish and the D, they were not biting on all the hocus pocus that CC was trying to run. I was disappointed with all the illegal formation and delay penatlies...not sharp at all for this late in the year.

I have to agree about the KPD officer being needed to protect theCC coach from his own fans! The strangest thing I have ever seen in a high school football game. Not pretty. And here I thought Scott Smith had it bad over in jc /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Thats the same BS they used on us (Jeff Co) when we played them at CC. They were trying to get unsportsman like called on you and then try to get your best players ejected when they take up for themselves and the refs played along with it. Unfortunately we bit on it and it cost us the game. Glad to see DB didn't fall for it. See ya in the play offs.

To date, Sensabaugh has roughly 597 yards on 60 carries (9.95 yards/carry) and 11 TD's (66 points). Two words...freshman sensation.

Very happy to see a healthy Sylvester running the ball. Taylor, another great night. The offensive line did well. The defense played well yet again. Hats off to you boys, total team effort to night. Roll Tribe.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
