Well Dang. Been a long time since I saw the slaughter rule applied to Oak Ridge and an Oak Ridge coach get booed. Kudos to Farragut, they came to play and played they did. There are no excuses for how OR played. After watching them at Ootlewah last week and this week it was like watching two totally different teams. The team needs to be mad about what happened and take that mad into the playoffs. The team, the coaches, and the administration, need to get a grip, it is quite obvious from the fan standpoint they are not all on the same page.

I have a few question's with the understanding I respect and enjoy watching the OR Program. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

1. What was the farragut fans reaction after the game?

2. Is this seasons Farragut team what the Farragut Fans been expecting the last 10 year?

It's what I felt they were capable for years!

3. Since OR and Farragut has been in the top 10 most of the year will the OR faithful stand by this Coach like most of the Farragut fans have with their head coach? /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

4. What do the Farragut fans feel is the change in the football program? Is it change in Asst Coaching or just having Andre? /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

IMHO-Farragut has always had the talent and capabilities to win at the level they are this year, however they always came up short with OR being their biggest short fall.

IMHO- Oakridge has taken beating Farragut for granted! There has been some close games prior to last years Admirals win but being at the games and reading the Coacht board, the feeling was from the OR fans is that they expected Farragut to choke. Or in NickO's and other's post in the past (farrgutless) etc.

I don't think these 2 wins even come close to making the series even and don't think this trend will last to even the series with a new HS in the future for West Knoxville.

Good Luck to both programs but to the Admirals! This is your chance to bring home the gold. Look up what the US Hockey coach (Herb Brooks) told his 1980 team when they were going for the Gold medal after they beat the Russians!

-This is your moment. You??™re meant to be here.

-Great moments...are born from great opportunity.

Same goes for you young men!

Good Luck Admirals!

Farragut your freshmen team got the WOOD layed to them today by the Ooltewah------30-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From what i heard the size of your freshmen team is huge but it didnt seem to matter much, the OWLS won big today to a big surprise to me.

What does that have to do with anything.......

1.) They are Freshman so I doubt anyone but the freshman care.

and

2.) Why is this in the Farragut/Oak Ridge game thread when they lost to Ooltewah?

cool man! I mean seriously, who won the varsity game? But I'll give yall's freshman credit, they were good, but let's hope nothing bad happens later on to them, like maybe taking three guys and beating up a 15 year old girl......oh wait.

But yea, It's a freshman game, the coaches change. Players develop. But that was a very worthless post on a board concerned with the admirals victory last night against a good Oak Ridge team.

Why would that hurt him ? I am not familiar on how the voting works for Mr Football, but surely his not deciding where to go wouldn't hurt his chances would it ? Seems unfair if it does.

I might think if he has committed then it would be publicized a little more than someone who is still thinking about it. You can say he is already a D-1 player rather than.. We don't know... I am not really saying it will hurt him. I was wondering if anyone thought it might. I don't really know what the voters look for. That could be something. I would hope it isn't something, but you never know.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
