TDArtist
They are still wrestling with Chuckey-Doak. North Greene is probably closer to having a wrestling team than South Greene is. They are considering a JV schedule next year if they can get a small supplement for a coach. There is already an ex-GHS wrestler on staff. FIG42
We need to get a match during the day at S and N Greene. Those fan at both schools would support a program if they could just see it. And realize it is not WWF.
porkchop103
So. . . What about that Science Hill Takedown Tournament? I know someone has something to say about it. /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" />
TDArtist
I heard some people saying that the assistant coach at Greeneville was one good-looking guy. You know the one, shaved head, cute little belly, and full of really good jokes. Anyway, I thought the tournament was well run with a lot of good wrestling. I think that it is still too early to tell how good some people are with their football players out. Just some observations.... 1. Crockett looks tough. Lots of strong, athletic kids. 2. THe Science Hill lightweight breeding program looks to be working. They had 54 wrestlers and 49 of them weigh less than 130. I have some baseball cards from the late 80's that I will trade you for a 103 pounder. 3. It was great to see all those Elizabethton wrestlers. They looked good in their matching warm-ups. Very sharp. 4. I'm not shorting Dobyns-Bennett and TN High...I don't think we wrestled one of their guys all day. I was talking to another coach and there was agreement that the level of wrestling in Region One from top to bottom appears to be great this year. Lots of good matches. Good luck to everyone and stay injury free. See you guys at Crockett next weekend.

I heard the Greeneville coach's have a hard time growing hair so one just gave up an started shaving his head but the other one is still in denial /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Yall already starting to wrestle or is it just like an exhibition. TDArtist
It was today from 10 until 4. Really just a scrimmage-type event. It was takedowns only with a 4 minute period. Tech falls happened at 10-0. I'm glad to see that you could pull yourself away from the Cap1 fued long enough to post on the wrestling thread. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

relentless
I liked the dividing the wrestlers up on different mats. A lot of good wrestling. A nice warm-up tournament for the season.
