Question for the Oakland folks...

tdntn is correct. The renovations were on the drawing board when Tim was still at Oakland. Butch has pushed for the IB program and the drafting program, and has plans in the works for even more things. He has tons of ideas and resources to make Oakland great. The Booster club is responsible for the amazing indoor facility and has worked tirelessly to see it accomplished. They deserve ALL the credit for it. The players, parents, and current staff were involved in a lot of fundraising for it as well.

 

Oakland isn't the work of just one person.......it is the work of many wanting to see it return to greatness.

Now back on topic......I am hearing two names in the forefront coaching wise......Bobby Brown from Lebanon and Wes Elrod from Wilson Central. Got my info from the City Cafe in the Boro.

 

I like the idea of Coach Elrod coming to Oakland. He knows his stuff and is the main reason for WC's success this season.

We have had problems in Franklin County since Mantooth was forced out. You know this. Mantooth was done dirty.

Ask anyone from Jackson-Central Merry if they would let their teen-aged daughter be alone with Collins in his office. Ask around and you will find out why.

 

Smyrna fans need to ask why Steve Carson is calling Oakland daily when he should be worrying about Lincoln County.

 

Oakland fans need to ask why Carson is Rick's #1 candidate? They also need to ask in FC why Carson didn't get Head Coach when he applied. Rick told Steve he was conducting all interviews..

Carson has not had the first contact with Oakland or any other school for that matter regarding coaching positions, but he would make a great head coach for somebody. It's also time to lay off of Britton, Collins, and Mantooth. This post is about possibilities for our Patriot opening. GO PATS!
