Lol Riverdale dominated 3 quarters of the game?..

Umm..aren't things different when you look at the box score?

Not taking away anything from Riverdale, but almost losing after 'dominating 3 quarters' of a game..is not good lol.

But sure, right now Riverdale is 10-0. #1, so they are apparently better? right? /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

maybe im wrong but i dont see how it isnt a far assessment...

1st quarter:

10-0 riverdale (forced to kick an FG after inadvertant whistle costs us a defensive TD)

smyrna had very few yards and i think sonny threw 2 INTs (one ruled a fumble somehow)

2nd quarter:

13-7 riverdale, smyrna still does little to nothing offensively scored off 85 yard KR by wilkes. missed an FG also

3rd quarter:

25-0 smyrna. riverdale fumble on a KR costs them a drive, a bogus pass interference call helps smyrna continue a scoring drive on a 4th and 15 play

4th quarter:

13-0 riverdale has 2 very long drives running all over smyrna defense. smyrna does little with sonny throwing his 3rd INT

2nd quarter is the only toss up, like i said smyrnas only real success moving the ball was on one play on special teams. so it makes you comfortable, smyrna "WINS" 1 quarter, riverdale "WINS" 3 quarters and the ball game.

congradulations to smyrna on their 12 minutes of excellence /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

ignorance is always an option if you would rather not accept reality /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Excuses are always an option as well, so lets here some more of last seasons 9-7L at the hands of Smyrna?

Or why LaVergne (Who didn't make the play-offs) gave Riverdale ALL it could handle without there starting QB in the end.

Cant wait to see Riverdale drop one to Wilson Central this Friday night, but it wont matter, the excuses will be coming more than Riverdales turnovers. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Oh and if your gonna sit here and bring up Riverdale's 'rich tradition of winning.' When it comes to play-offs it doesn't matter.

You can go ask any WC players during the game if they care about those 3 or 4 gold balls Riverdale has /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Well to get technical La Vergne didn't have their starting QB their entire match-up, but did have a potential starting quarterback in Ryan Williams.

And maybe we should wait a week before talking about Round 3 of the playoffs. Seems kind of silly doesn't it?

t3a cups, riverdale has a huge talent and coaching advantage over smyrna...our B game could beat smyrnas A game most nights. since you wanna bring up the 9-7, theres a case where riverdales D game about beat smyrna.

of course you saw this all play out over the course of the season, smyrna with 3 loses. 0-0 going into the playoffs gave you guys new hope, we'll soon see how long that lasts

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
