I've been reading This Mess About Cascade11 And It Sickens Me. I Came to The Cascade/JoByrns Game After Chatting With Cascade11 And After going to Some Of The JoByrns Games As Well. Now You Have Labled Him Incorrectly. You Say He Is A Dad Of A Kid That Doesn't Play. Aint His Kid A Freshman? And A Kicker? But Let Me Say This Cascade11 Is Very Knowledgeful Of The Kids That Do Play. Because He Gave Me An Earful While I Was At The Game. And While He Posts Alot On CoachT So Do I. So Do Alot Of Others. And I Can Remember How Fondly He Spoke Of Your Son Playing Through Injuries. As He Did Alot Of Others. When The Kid Came Out In The Wheelchair For The 1,000 Dollar Field Goal He Was Beaming Of Respect For The Kid And His Family. He Also Told me The Field Goal Substitue Kicker Was A Ringer And That He Was The Cascade Kicking Record Holder. Now Have Your Problems With Him As You May. And Say What You Want Of Me. I Just Wish You Could Have Been Standing Next to Us When He Was Bragging On Your Son And His Toughnest. I Would Like To Think It Would Have Made you Proud Because It Did Me And I Don't Know Your Son. But Cascade11 Did And He Told Me Of Alot Of Others On The Team. And Who Was Expecting to Take The Place Of The Graduating Class. Now He May Be A Sore Loser Which I Think Is An Understatement LOL. But A True Cascade Fan He Definately Is.

Good Luck to Cascade11, Players And Yourself. http://www.sweetim.com/s.asp?im=gen&ref=10

I just got through watching the Titans get their tails whacked but I second that! First of all his son is young and behind one of the best kickers in Cascades history probably. But I have met him, and he is a great guy and a Cascade fan through and through. I have never heard him say anything but good about the players and coaches of Cascades program. Plus he goes to the trouble of organizing a cellphone network for region 5 and some region 6 teams to keep up on the games. Thanks Butchie and VoiceOfRockets!

Excellent post. Cascade11 is 100% behind Cascade sports and their players. I am sure he is disappointed like many of use are that we lost Friday night. I have never heard him say a derogatory remark about any player nor for that matter any parent at Cascade. Some have made fun of him being at practices, but I was there to. Why? Not to think I am some kind of football player, but simply to spend more time with my child. Our time with our children is limited enough and if I can spend an extra 30 minuites with him I can and will. If Cascade11 is a bad example for my child, then I want my child to see more bad examples like him!! He has given encouragement and support not only our football program, but soccer and softball.

So I am for one proud to call him my friend.

My Son has Grown Up And Went on to College. And Now I Hardly See Him. But I Can Remember Going To Everyone Of His Practices. And It Wasn't I Was A Petofile Like Ya'll Would Like To Make Cascade11 Out to Be. I Love my Son, As I'm Sure Cascade11 Loves His As Well. And I Wish I Had Done More If I Could have. Now my Conversations With Cascade11 Have been Nothing But Wonderful, Informative, And Respectful Of Everyone And Everybody. Coaches, Fans, Players And Parents. He Even Introduced Me To Some Of His Travel Softball Girls. Whenever Someone Walked By It Was Hey, Hey Come Here. And Then Just overwhelm Me With thier Achievements And Accomplishments. Now ya'lls high School Principle, She's Mean She Got On To Us During the National Anthem. But Cascade11 Was busy pointing out players, Band Members. And The Principle, LOL. But Anyway, Some Of you Cascade parents taking Shots At Him, Maybe you Should look At yourselves And See Where Ya'll Are At. Are you Jealous Of him And His Commitment To Ya'lls Programs. Maybe you Wish you Could be Someone like Cascade 11, Who i'm Proud to Say Is My Friend As Well. But i'll not Post in Here Anymore, So ya'll Can Go back To What ya'll Was Doing. Berating A Man That Loves And Respects your Kids Efforts And the Community They Represent. And I Wish There Were More People Of His Character And Less Of Yours. http://www.sweetim.com/s.asp?im=gen&ref=10

Great post Butchie and I agree 100%. Further I hope that Cascade's busy and that's the reason he hasn't posted this week much, not because of a bunch of people that can't lighten up on a football thread. I can only speak for myself but I would enjoy if he were on the Jo Byrns/Mtp thread this week but I can certainly understand why he wouldn't bother

Great post my friend. I respect the heck out of Mike and think he is a great person. He has been a fun and entergetic person to be hang out with during the games and to talk to during the week leading up to the game. If Mike is so bad and hated or ignored by so many well so be it. I will always value Mike as a friend reguardless of what any of the negative posters may say. Mike has alot of character and is full of great advice especially to me reguarding taking the next step in my life as in marriage. I have met many parents at cascade over the past year and many old friends and i have enjoyed getting to share the good and bad times with you guys in all sports the past year. I doubt I will be able to be at near as many games in the future due to coaching opprotunities but i wish all of your kids good luck and good health. When I finally get settled down in a solid coaching position hopefully many of you will come visit and critique my coaching lol. Take it easy on me Butchie lol.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
