I hate 5A refs with an attitude

IT's too bad so many officials can't let the game be decided by the players on the field. I realize rules are rules, but I cannot support theatrics by a officiating crew. I heard that during the Farragut game after the Farragut PA announcer made a comment about a play without a flag, the Head Referee came to the Farragut sideline and threatened Coach Courtney with having the PA announcer escorted out of the stadium by police if he made another comment like that again. I don't know if it was true or not, but I wouldn't doubt it, since he seemed to be a control freak. I agree that the PA guy is supposed to be nonbias, but he just said what everyone else was thinking, and it was funny.

It was definitely a case of trying to be seen. It was pitiful. Unsportsmanlike penalties flying on both teams for no reason.

WOW im in heaven!!! all the ref angels .. see this what i been talking about ..its not just me ..TSSAA needs to have a look into the refs they hire to call these cames ..they act like they bet money on teams to win ..then they alter the game in any way they can... and its a shame ..like these guys play ... and let the best team win ..

For the record, this thread is not so much about refs throwing games, it is about refs trying to be the center of attention. Acting arrogant when they make calls; signaling with a lot of melodrama, that sort of stuff.

ok same thing ..at some point in time the ref has to throw the flag .. to put on this "arrogant" show or whatever ..and he has to choose which team to punish ..the one he likes or dis likes the most id say he picks the one he dont like.. that way you killing 2 birds with 1 flag.

for the record ...its about bad refs in general ..they can make or break a game with bad calls .. ive seen it for years .. even had it happen to my team as a player ..its real and its stupid ... so that makes it real stupid

IMO, the officials in the playoffs should have any ties to ANY team in the region in which they are playing (in other words, completely neutral). In regions 1 & 2 5A, it would have to be a Middle Tennessee crew to call a playoff game since every East Tennessee association has at least 1 5A team in its area. I think that that would make a better officiated game.
