Bolivar at David Lipscomb

Recommended Posts

Vandy 1-assuming you to still be Bayron Binkley--contact me for info about Bolivar and Mitchell.

Have seen them both several times--in person and on tape. I worked with you at Dyersburg game last year, but we, unfortunately, are out. Mitchell will pose a very real threat to Lipscomb. I sent you E-mail but have not received a reply. Try the E-mail route first.

Thanks, I have emailed you.

I am so glad that you guys are doing a fanpage. I wished everyone would do one. I think it would be a great service for all schools, as a matter of fact I'll have a little column talking about the lack of web presence on the Mustangfanpage this weekend in a new section called the Lipscomb Lizard Lounge. As we speak I am copying the 05 regular season and playoff game pictures and the 2006 game as well. The 07 game should be on the internet on a slideshow. Anything I can do to be of assistance to you and your website, please let me know. Good Luck with your site, it sounds exciting and I know the Cub fans will enjoy it. (be sure to throw in some humor) Are you coming Friday Night, or how do you want to get the pics?

We're trying to get one started at Spring Hill, but we're in our infancy stage.

Take a look at eteamz.com/raiders

Let us know what you think.

Thanks and good luck to the Mustangs.

My nephew played on the 02 Championship team.

I had a son on that 2002 team and I have a nephew at Spring Hill ---are we related. I peaked over at your site and its starting to take shape. If the Mustangfanpage can help you let us know. It would be great to have every Region 5 3A team with its own fanpage. It would seem that Marshall County, Creek Wood, Page, and Giles County would have enough interest to do one. Hope they read this. I think we all are willing to help.

Your attending the region banquet is a real steal. The Banquet has usually been closed to only players and the coaches. You must be in tall cotton to be able to pull that off. The only reason I got to go was to take pictures and put them up on the web so the guys could download them. I'll email you.

So as far as I can tell nobody has seen both teams play. Is that the case?? Because I want to know if I should make my way to David Lipscomb or Smyrna to watch them play Wilson Central. I really think Bolivar has a legit chance, because of the way they have been playing the last two weeks.

GO TO THE SYRMNA / WILSON CENTRAL GAME. DL HAS TOO MUCH FOR BOLIVAR TO CONTEND WITH. THE TIGERS HAVE NOT PLAYED A GOOD TEAM AS DL ,THO THEY WILL NOT QUIT AND ARE HOT NOW. USUAL DL 4-5 TD WIN.

4-5 TD WIN FOR DL IS REACHING OUT THERE PRETTY FAR.BOLIVAR HAS PLAYED SOME GOOD TEAMS IN WEST TN.BOLIVAR DIDN'T GET THIS FAR BY BEING A CUP CAKE TEAM.DON'T COUNT THEM OUT BEFORE THE GAME EVEN STARTS.IF BOLIVAR CAN LIMIT THE TURN OVERS AND RUN THE BALL LIKE THEY CAN IT WILL BE AN EXCITING GAME.

I don't think we're realted. My nephew was a junior on the 02 DL team. Played DE.

Does your nephew play football at SH?

It would be great if all the 5-3A teams had a fanpage/website.

Bolivar is playing it too quiet. Smart move. Bolivar in a upset by 10.

THEY DONT USUALLY RESPOND ON THE BOARDS- MUST NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS SITE OR NOT MEMBERS. DL FANS KNOW AND READ BUT DONT RESPOND EXCEPT FOR A VERY FEW THAT ARE NOT DL FANS ONLY JUMPING ON THE DL BANDWAGON TO SUPPORT THEIR REGION AFTER DL HAS WON THE REGION. BOLIVAR WILL NOT WIN TONIGHT!!!!!!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
