Unaka Rangers

If I remember right, I saw a team deeper than this a few years ago... If I'm not mistaking, It was Cloudland... Yes it was, thats right! They had just got manhandled by Tri-Cities Christian in the last place game of the Hampton Christmas Tourney. Then they lost to Providence a few weeks later... And a few years later they are coming off back-to-back trips to state... So its not impossible to turn a program around.

And does anyone know who the last team in the Climate Controlers is? I know theres Unaka, Hampton, Cloudland, Grace Christian, and Harriman. Anyone know who the other team is?

Temple was suppose to come but it seems they won't now and Nashville Advancment Christian Academy never called back either so im not sure if we have anyone else yet or what

The best one Isaw all year was the Wanamaker kid dribbleing the football 50 yards down the sidelines at Cloudland. I did see where they called it back, some peole thought it was because of a block in the back or holding, it was obvious he carried the ball about three times. That does take alot of talent.

Lord Vader and company- me thinks you enjoy the troubles of Unaka too much!! Do you really hate them that much or is alot of it in jest? Where does this intense hatred come from?

To remind you- about 4-5 years ago Tri-Cities Christian beat alot of the 1A schools in the area. University high had to beat them at the buzzer with a 3/4 court shot and then lost to them at Tri-Cities. Cloudland lost at home to them and had to come from behind at Tri-Cities to win and Unaka barely beat them at Unaka and Tri-Cities had 2 starters out with the flu that night. Don't dog out my Golden Eagles, Coach Jerry Landers is a great coach and I was honored he let me coach with him.

You wish you could punt as good. Don't know where your hate came from but I will not dislike hampton because of you. There are a lot of good people and you really make them look bad on here.

wish he could punt as good? that's not good

negative 10 yards on a punt, then watching an opposing player pick it up and run it in for a TD

that is not good

the sad thing is, he was "as good" at QB as he was a punter

Wow! You all are real comedians up there. Must be a new class up there. I suppose you were a football star yourself? Or did you carry the water like Josh?

No he is a true ballplayer, unlike your son, all he does in his spare time is wear oven mitts while helping you in the kitchen. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I bet he gets an A in home eck class. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Now we all know ole hortiemom is grasping for straws!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I knew she couldn't keep her fat mouth shut for long. Most of the time, she's sticking her big foot in it. Everyone knows that I spanked Unaka Rangers every time I stepped on the field. Whats even more funny is I could probably carry the water bucket and whip the Rangers at the same time. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I'm even thinking about building me a fall home right in the middle of Goddard Field because after all, that is our home away from home. We've dominated there as long as I've been alive. And as long as Quarterbacks like ole Hunter keep playing for Unaka, we will continue to dominate. I wonder if he is the point guard too? Could be some of the basketball teams woes as well. Oh well, I hope ole sportiemom will keep posting because this is just too much fun!! Whooooo!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
